Unfortunately the night market has been postponed and some of the retailers who were carrying my things have had to temporarily close due to COVID-19. For now I will be offering a selection of items directly from me with Canadian shipping and free delivery in the HRM. I will be updating my page with photos in the coming week.

I am so excited to be at the Lucky Penny Coffee Co. pop up winter market next weekend with my gnomes! $10 Each. These little guys are made with rice and socks and for every gnome made a donation has been made to the NS Food bank and the warm sock campaign.

Pretty much every day is Earth Day here so I missed a dedicated post a couple of days back.

Some people ask me: "If plastic containers are recyclable, why are you trying to reduce your use?"

This is a great question. The answer may seem obvious to some people but the truth is that even if we are recycling a container it still needs to be manufactured, shipped, collected (in a plastic bag in NS), shipped, recycled, shipped and begin again. Reducing even one step reduces our carbon footprint. Therefore, even if bulk items are shipped in a big plastic bag they are able to ship more of that item in the same space individually packaged items would take (reduction in initial shipping). Then I buy them using my glass jar or cloth bag (reduction in the rest of the chain in total).

If you are interested in checking out bulk liquid or a different selection than your local bulk barn you can visit The Tare Shop.
