Recommended book "Lure of the Labrador Wild" by Dillon Wallace, to learn about their destination. And following along with Justin and Saku's adventure

Saku and I are in Labrador for a canoe expedition exploring a portion of the 1903 "Lure of the Labrador Wild" route, hopefully locating Hubbard's very remote "final camp" aka Hubbard Rock (Google it). For me there is a definite mystique about an area the natives back then said was "unlucky and haunted", even before the Hubbard incident. Dozens of them starved there in the late 1800's. In fact, in 2020, on my first attempt to the Rock, after an unsettling premonition driving to Labrador, our float plane crashed in the ocean the next day on take off and we narrowly escaped. The plan back then was to fly into the headwaters, paddle to the site and then out to Northwest River.

6 years later we will take a different route. We will paddle and hike in and out. We'll see incredible, raw country, including the Red W**e Mountains. Fishing will be a dream. We could cover nearly 400km.
