Year three of the Massive LitRPG (and progression Fantasy) sale is next weekend!

350 books have been added, all Free or .99c.

I'll be honest for a moment and say that the landscape for books has shifted quite a bit in the last year or two. AI books are flooding the market and making it harder for indie authors to stand out. Sales like these help indie authors find readers in a more casual way. It's free to all authors and publishers to participate and no one's books are prioritized over another. I think that's kind of cool, in an old school kind of way haha

Anyways, I hope you check it out and I hope you find some amazing books. I know I already have a few on my list to pick up!

What a weekend!

Yesterday, I got to be part of the first St. Catharines Collectors Expo and it was such a blessing to meet some truly cool people. RAFIA IQBAL was extremely kind, Tanner Zipchen let me fan-out for my wife as a Cineplex husband and Emma-Leigh Cullum and her mom even came by and chatted about my books!

And despite the coolness of yesterday, today was the real winner! After worrying all week about the weather, the fifth book market at West Avenue Cider by OntarioMarkets happened and it was amazing. I love West Avenue cider for their property, their drinks and the best pizza in the area, but the readers came and I got to talk to a ton of people! This includes the very awesome Nerdy Ontario who came and checked out the event in person!

Since this was my second time doing the event I had some amazing special guests come through: my readers. I want to give a special about out to Brandon (pictured) Jessica Henderson who came and told me how they'd finished my six book series and loved it! This absolutely made my day, thank you. And to Stephane 📚✏️ who picked up more books in my series as well. It is the greatest feeling to have people read and enjoy your books, thank you.

This post is long and I've already tagged too many people, but I am very grateful to everyone who came to say hello. (And to my family for their constant support).

I didn't get any pictures of my setup... Lol... I'm currently on the waitlist for fan expo, so my next big show will likely be Hamilton comic con in September :).

Here's a quick check in on the prelaunch campaign so far!

I continue to learn a lot about backerkit. The platform does a much better job at tracking who reached the page and who has followed. I switched from Kickstarter to backerkit for a few reasons, but one of them is the initial transparency about who is following. I also believe that by signing up, people are likely to be more willing to back it down the line - here's hoping!

Earning followers remains an uphill battle! I haven't had a newsletter sent out as yet, but social media continues to be my weakest marketing skill lol. I am also dabbling with different ad types, to very little success.

All said, I need about 20 followers to get into Printopia. I'd like to double that by the imposed deadline of July 24!

Right now I have 4 followers so onwards and upwards from here!

Thanks Niagara comic con! This was my first comic con ever and I definitely want to do more! I'm gonna do a recap sometime this week on some of my best sellers, potentially some of the mistakes I made, and who knows what else haha

Today is the last day of Niagara falls comic con! I've sold out of book 2 in The Claire series and episode 1 of the don't combust cover, but I've got lots of everything else!

We've been having a blast and I look forward to the last day, come say hi and grab a book, poster, or sticker if you're coming!
