Mr Popples! I originally received Mr Popples as a gift when I was going through my treatment for Leukemia. We became close as I shared all of my worries and fears with him. I felt that we was my good luck charm in my recovery.
Flash forward several years and my god daughter now had to go through similar treatment. I gave her Mr. Popples in hope that she would find the comfort (and luck) that he had given me. 3 years ago, she gave Mr Popples back, as I was going through breast cancer treatment. Mr Popples has seen us through some hard times!

These charms are near and dear to my heart as a cherished friend gave me one as a celebration of my completion of my Cancer Treatment. It reminds me that Cancer Can Be Beaten.💕

Love yourself first.............. who would have thought that this would be a struggle? I will be honest, every thing else seems to be a priority over this. If I do something for myself, I feel like I have left one of my priorities slide. I see all the work I didn't get done. How do you stop those thoughts?

A room with a view….
So this is where I have been for the last few weeks. Every spare moment, sitting with my dad while we watch his body slowly deteriorate. Cancer is once again, the overarching theme in my life, yet this time I get to watch a loved one struggle with its effects.
Why can we not just find a cure?

Nothing is better than a Good Night's Sleep.....

And yet, it can sometimes be so elusive. Do you have those nights where you cannot turn off your brain? Where your body is so exhausted that you are too tired to fall asleep?
And then there is the next morning, where you feel hung over and just when you need to be at your best, you feel the most tired. I've been there. And yet I struggle to understand the cause or even how to mitigate it. I have tried the sleep apps, Melatonin and warm milk, all without any luck.

How do you deal with those sleepless nights?

Brrrrr…….. actually this was 3 years ago today (thank you Apple for reminding me). I was at a work conference in Quebec, and it was cold! A storm came through and we actually had to stay an extra day as all the flights were cancelled. I can tell you that this was one of my most favourite trips! Spending time with my peers and enjoying all the sights that Quebec had to offer! Looking back now, if I had known what was in store for me, (Breast Cancer) and what was coming, (Covid). I’m not sure that I would have enjoyed myself as much as I did. It’s amazing how quickly life can change.
