“Can boys join our sewing workshops?”

YES!! 100%. We teach all genders, and honestly — everyone should learn to sew. Our projects are super diverse, so there’s something for every interest. We would be SO excited to have you join us!

“Will there be other boys there?”

If your child is worried about being the only boy in the room, we’d encourage signing up for our Monday afternoon session — that’s where we’re seeing the most boy participation! But just to be clear: your child is welcome to join any day of the week. 💛

This is a space built on inclusivity, creativity, and community — no matter who you are, what you look like, or where you come from, there is a seat at our table for YOU. Sewing has no gender, no rules, and no limits — just come as you are and create something amazing. ✨

Our Kids & Teens Weekly Sewing Program is back for 2026/2027! One class a week, September through June (32 classes total), for ages 7–17 — total beginners welcome.

❓ What’s actually included in $150/month?
✨32 classes, all fabric/thread/materials, use of studio machines & equipment, and small-group instruction. The only thing you provide is your child’s sewing toolkit ($50 discounted price when bundled with registration).

❓ Is there a long-term commitment?
✨Nope — just a 1-month minimum. Cancel anytime with 2 weeks’ notice before your next billing date.

❓ Can we join partway through the year?
✨Yes! If space is available, your child can join mid-year — and depending on timing, your first payment may even be prorated or skipped.

❓ What if my child misses a class?
✨No sweat — we offer 5 makeup sessions across the year for illness or vacation.

New students start with our Prerequisite Class before joining the weekly program ($25 off when bundled — code PREREQ25).

It’s more than sewing — kids build confidence, patience, and problem-solving skills that carry into everything else they do. 💛

Our Kids & Teens Weekly Sewing Program (ages 7–17) runs September through June, with small classes and a 4:1 student-to-teacher ratio so every student gets real, hands-on guidance.

No experience needed — beginners start with our prerequisite class, then move into a progressive curriculum that builds real skills project by project. Beyond sewing, kids learn to follow instructions independently, problem-solve, and push through challenges — skills that carry way beyond the sewing table.

All fabric, patterns, and materials included — just bring your sewing toolkit. Multiple day/time options available (after-school + weekend classes).

✨Our Kids & Teens Weekly Sewing Program is back for 2026/2027! Whether your child has never touched a sewing machine or already has some experience, our progressive curriculum builds confidence, creativity, and practical sewing skills one week at a time — all in a calm, supportive studio environment.

✨Beyond sewing, students learn to follow multi-step instructions independently, problem-solve creatively, and work patiently through challenges — skills that carry over into everything else they do.

Our Donny Shirt Workshop is designed for confident beginners who are ready to take the next step in their garment sewing journey.

The Donny Shirt by Friday Pattern Company is the perfect introduction to classic shirt-making. You’ll learn techniques like sewing a collar, constructing a baby placket, working with a yoke, and creating beautiful professional finishes—all without the intimidation of buttonholes and button bands.

And the best part? You’ll leave with a versatile shirt you’ll actually wear.

Throughout the workshop, we’ll share the tips, tricks, and sewing shortcuts that help transform a homemade garment into one that looks professionally made.

Workshop Includes:
✂️ Donny Shirt sewing pattern
✂️ Pre-class consultation
✂️ 10% off class-related purchases
✂️ Guided instruction over 4 sessions (approximately 10 hours)

Recommended fabrics include linen, cotton lawn, double gauze, and other lightweight woven fabrics.
