MiKels Lavender Oasis

What started as Mike and kelly's lavender farm has turned into MiKel's Lavender Oasis. We have combined both of our names into one to come up with our name. MiKels Lavender Oasis was established in 2013. We started out with 125 lavender plants, Grosso , Hidcoat and Munstead. In the summer of 2013 we did extensive work on the land preparing for the spring of 2014, when we expect to plant 2700 laven

der plant of the same variety concentrating more on the grosso. We are working on our retail store and will be carrying some products ( sachets, candles) to start and will be adding more when the store is fully completed. After all the time we spent cutting back the plants, the weeds have gotten out of control. We have been spending the days pulling weeds and boy the field looks great again! And look how well the plants bloomed after their big cut back!

I wasnt sure how or if our plants would flower after the major cut back i gave them this spring, but walking in the field tonight and seeing just how good the plants look and are flowering makes me so happy for all the hard work I did.
