Shop online 24/7 Hamilton is an amazing city. Possibly one of the best. We built Steeltown Garage Co.

That's why we live and work right downtown. as an homage to this town's past, present and future. Like a vintage motorcycle, Hamilton is complimented by its history and age. Sure, there's some cracks in the paint, but that's what makes it so rad. We also built Steeltown Garage Co. to be a place to hang out, to catch up with old friends, and to make new ones. We are not just a store for motorcyclis

ts. In fact, we're not just a 'store' at all. Steeltown Garage Co. is a brand inspired by the city in which it was born, an espresso bar paying respect to an age-old European culture, a venue showcasing Hamilton's finest art and music, and a carefully considered retail experience offering the finest in riding gear, apparel, art, books, lifestyle accessories and more.

There are some things nobody needs in this world, and a warp-speed Ducati 900SS café racer is probably one of them.

But sweet Jesus, sometimes you actually believe you need one.

That’s the beautiful, terrifying sickness at the heart of Hunter S. Thompson’s “Song of the Sausage Creature.”

“When Cycle World called me to ask if I would road-test the new Harley Road King, I got uppity and said I’d rather have a Ducati superbike,” Hunter S. Thompson recalls in the now-iconic piece of writing. “It seemed like a chic decision at the time, and my friends on the superbike circuit got very excited. ‘Hot damn,’ they said. ‘We will take it to the track and blow the bastards away.’”

“Balls,” I said. “Never mind the track. The track is for punks. We are Road People. We are Cafe Racers.”

In our Free Spirits Journal we’re taking a hard look back at the Good Doctor’s most explosive treatise on the brutal nature of speed.

It was born from a warped editorial dare: handing a pristine Italian superbike to a man famous for destroying rental cars and consuming heroic quantities of contraband.

The result? A religious devotion to the redline and a grim rendezvous with the Sausage Creature—the violent patron saint of high-speed failure on cold asphalt.

Let’s get one thing straight. We have never given a damn about corporate milestones.

The metric-obsessed, sterile, boardroom bu****it that most companies use to measure their worth—it has never been what we’re about, and it never will be.

When we started this thing, it wasn’t born out of a desperate desire to look at a spreadsheet and pat ourselves on the back for hitting the most recent KPI’s. It was born out of necessity. Out of a deep, visceral love of strong coffee, greasy hands, the mechanical symphony of a single cylinder thumper, and the simple, unadulterated joy of making things for people who actually give a s**t.

But here we are, staring down the barrel of a milestone anyway.

The folks over at Shopify just sent us a box. Inside it was this shiny, perfectly polished, cute little silver trophy. A plaque. A physical monument to the fact that we—against all statistical probability, common sense, and the general chaos of running an independent brand—have shipped over one hundred thousand orders.

Say it out aloud and it sounds like a clerical error. It sounds like someone carried a zero too far after a few too many picklebacks. But it’s real.

So, to the outcasts, the speed freaks, the ol’ regulars, and the loyal strangers who wear our name on their backs: thank you.

Thank you for allowing us to do the work we love, on our own terms, without a single ounce of compromise.

Ride safe out there,

We put this little video together a few years back for s**ts n giggles. But today, on National Motorcycle Day, it hits different. It reminds us why we throw a leg over two wheels to begin with.
