Fall is here at Belmont Farmstead!

We’re opening tomorrow for the fall season, with lots to get your garden ready for fall:

• Fall mums and ornamental grasses
• Fall planters and everything you need to make your own
• Native plants and perennials — fall is a great time to plant
• Fall-sowing seeds from Florabunda Seeds
• Ontario-grown, tested seed garlic

And coming next week: pumpkins, gourds and corn stalks!

We’re open Wednesday–Sunday, 9–4.

There’s still plenty of time to plant a garden, fill your containers, and grow fresh food this season—and we’re helping the next generation of gardeners get started!
This Saturday and Sunday, bring the kids to Belmont Farmstead and let them choose a free food-producing plant to grow at home.

Available choices include:
🍅 Tomatoes
🫑 Peppers
🥒 Cucumbers
🎃 Squash
🌿 Selected Herbs

Every child should have the opportunity to grow some of their own food and experience the excitement of harvesting something they’ve grown themselves.

🌱 One free plant per child
🌱 Child must be present to choose their own plant
🌱 With any purchase
🌱 While supplies last
🌱 Saturday & Sunday only (June 13th & 14th)

A frost advisory has been issued for our area tonight. If you’ve already planted tender vegetables, herbs, hanging baskets, or annuals outdoors, you may want to cover or bring them in this evening.

Keep an eye on:
• Tomatoes
• Peppers
• Basil
• Cucumbers & squash
• Hanging baskets and containers

A light sheet, frost cloth, or even moving pots into a garage or covered area overnight can help protect plants from damage.
