They gave you their strength, their focus, and their trust.

When the ride is over, the job isn’t done.

Take the time to cool them out properly. Walk until their breathing returns to normal. Check for heat, swelling, or soreness. Offer water. Remove sweaty tack. Brush them off. Pick their feet. Make sure they’re comfortable before you put them away.

Horses are not machines you park in the barn when you’re finished.

They are living, breathing athletes who feel fatigue, stiffness, and discomfort just like we do.

How you care for your horse after the ride matters just as much as what you do in the saddle.
