Something we don’t often offer but are proud to be in collaboration with an amazing local farmstand in Fort Sask!

Our pure, hand-rendered beef tallow has traditionally been available by special order only.
Now, for the first time, we’re bringing a small batch of our 1846 Heritage Tallow to JW Farm Fresh Greens

Made exclusively from leaf fat (suet) from cattle raised on our Alberta family farm, then slowly hand-rendered in small batches.

Nothing added. One ingredient. From our pasture to your jar.

Only a handful of 500 ml jars will be available.

She makes the most amazing sourdough breads, bagels and more! Be sure to check her items out 🙂

Ours begins with the whole plant.

Before a single jar is poured, whole herbs are slowly infused into nourishing oils using botanicals we can trace right back to our own Alberta farm or to local growers.

Time is one of our ingredients.

Some of our botanical infusions mature for up to 24 weeks before they're ever blended into a finished product.

Every infusion is made in small batches, carefully strained by hand, and started from scratch.
It's a deliberate way of working—one rooted in craftsmanship, stewardship, and respect.

This isn't a method we discovered online or followed because it became popular.
It's a way of working that's been handed down through our family since 1846.

People imagine farm life as peaceful. . . . .

And for the most part it is ♥️

Other times we're checking the rain gauge and watching yet another storm roll in, and trying to remember what sunshine feels like, hoping the summer will come soon.

The rest of the day is spent chasing something that shouldn't be where it is, fixing something that worked perfectly yesterday, and discovering your coffee went cold before you even took a sip.

Still, we wouldn't trade it.

That's Alberta.
