Memorial shelf

My friend/customer, Anita is living in Fort Nelson wanted a few things from the store. Her dad, Coiley Marche, played the violin and she put a partially carved violin neck on the top shelf along side of the car he owned in the past. This items reminded her of her dad.

The violin handle was made by Bernard Gallant from Stephenville, who passed away over 30 years ago. Was in his shed in a box when I found it.

Also displayed is a butter dish she added to her table. Next to an antique fruit bowl that was given to her from a friends family after she passed. She found fruit at a garage sale. She said “ it felt like it was meant to be.”

That’s a beautiful story. I hope she will treasure her items forever. I know she will. ❤️❤️

So sad - The year has come to an end. But what a year it was. Customers from as far away as Australia in one direction and Denmark in the other , and Hawaii in the other.

New faces and new people for Robert to gab to. He loves the conversation.

Of course all our regular customers and new customers from all over the Island and Labrador , what would we be without you. It was so special to see you all again. We can’t wait till next year to show you all our treasure we find over the winter, and there will be lots.

So to you all, a very big thank you from both of us. Have the best winter ever and God willing we will see you all again next summer. If you need anything special just drop me a message and will do my best to find it for you. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

My last customer Kelly, texted me about a month ago and asked “ when did I close?” I said Monday Labour Day. She said oh I’m coming through Tuesday. I said come on I’ll be packing up stuff. She was so appreciative. She was from Comfort Cove on her way back to Ontario.

She just text back and said “Thank you again. It was wonderful meeting you and your husband. Love my treasures.

Thanks to you
