Taking the girls to their next pasture is so easy when they love you 🥰

No food needed to get these ladies to follow me. Although I'm sure they were expecting some treats, but instead they got a new area to enjoy for the next 2 weeks 😅

Pigs are happy, farmer is happy... now tomorrow I will be onto checking the electric fencing on the goats next pasture to make sure no moose have run through it during the winter.

Work is never done around here!

Had a craving for an egg salad sandwich when I woke up this morning so all these eggs had a bath and jumped in the pot!

Egg salad is a craving food for me, I don't really love it but every once in a while I just have to have one. Hard boiled eggs on the other hand I really do enjoy as a midday snack, and of course I have to make some pickled eggs for Farmer G.

I have found with farm fresh eggs it's best to use eggs nearing 3-4 weeks age so we alway have eggs on the back of the counter waiting to become a delicious treat.

These eggs boil up perfectly and peel to perfection every time.

The way I make them is by loading my pot full of eggs, adding water and putting on high on the stove top. Once they come to a rolling boiling I start my timer for 11 minutes. When the timer goes off I turn off the stove but leave them on the element for another 11 minutes. Once that time has passed I take them off the stove and drain the water. Giving them a cold water bath and then we're done and ready to enjoy.

Farm Fresh Eggs are the best, in my opinion, and I love being able to supply other families with these beautiful nutritious eggs!

Again, my opinion, everyone should have access to healthy homegrown meats, produce and milks (even though selling or even giving away that last one is illegal in Canada 🙄 I don't think it should be but that's a rant for another time). We are very blessed to have been able to work hard towards our goal of self sufficiency and although we still aren't where we want to be we are very grateful to be where we are. And we are so grateful to be in a place where we can offer the many benefits of Farm Fresh Foods to our friends and family. It's the little things like that that fill my heart with absolute joy!

Free range chickens are my favorite little tricksters!

You may wonder how things like a couple dozen eggs get missed around here. Well, easily... egg production picks up in the Spring and we don't always know it until we find they're all just out here hiding their eggs 😅

Found a nest in the hole of a rock hill last week from one coop(3rd photo) and then this nest today beside the bunny barn from Farmer G's coop 🤣😂

When we still get a couple dozen a day it's very easy to miss a couple eggs that we don't even know are being laid. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Curious.... who else basket weaves their bacon for a late night BLT before bed?Just me? That's okay! 😋🤤

We are so incredibly thankful to everyone who shares our product availability with their friends and family. Word of mouth is the best way for us to get in front of folks who otherwise wouldn't know what we offer.

Spring time has definitely arrived on the farm and the hens have let us know! With more laying each day we will be able to offer another couple dozen each week to our customers. 🎉

We will be heading to Nackawic this week on Wednesday morning and Fredericton on Friday Morning. We have a few dozen available this week that we could bring along with us. So if you're hoping to grab some this week send us a messages letting us know if you'd like one dozen for $6 or 18 for $9.

If you'd like to get on list we offer:
~ daily pick up in Elmwood and Maxwell
~ Monday-Friday pick up in Woodstock (Home Hardware)
~ bi-weekly pick up in Nackawic (10 am every other Wednesday at the gas station)
~ weekly pick up in Fredericton (8:30 am every Friday at the Blue Canoe)

He's already nibbling on hay 😍

Our youngest had decided we should name him Bambi! The look I got when I said "just remember we will be eating him in a year" 😅

Not everyone on the farm is a fan of lamb so we do not have a large flock but we are working towards growing that over the next couple of years, after we're settled on the farm. Farmer G absolutely loves lamb, he says he thinks that he likes it more than beef 😳 which is definitely something I never thought I would hear from him; but to each their own.

It is definitely a nice change from the usual meats that I grew up with, although I wouldn't say it's my favorite meat they sure are cute when they're little bouncing babes 🥰
