Had a craving for an egg salad sandwich when I woke up this morning so all these eggs had a bath and jumped in the pot!
Egg salad is a craving food for me, I don't really love it but every once in a while I just have to have one. Hard boiled eggs on the other hand I really do enjoy as a midday snack, and of course I have to make some pickled eggs for Farmer G.
I have found with farm fresh eggs it's best to use eggs nearing 3-4 weeks age so we alway have eggs on the back of the counter waiting to become a delicious treat.
These eggs boil up perfectly and peel to perfection every time.
The way I make them is by loading my pot full of eggs, adding water and putting on high on the stove top. Once they come to a rolling boiling I start my timer for 11 minutes. When the timer goes off I turn off the stove but leave them on the element for another 11 minutes. Once that time has passed I take them off the stove and drain the water. Giving them a cold water bath and then we're done and ready to enjoy.
