River X is a passion for ultra-distance marathon paddling + adventure. The flag-ship event is the Muskoka River X; the longest single day expedition paddling race in the world. In 2015, the Muskoka River X expanded by adding a traverse of Algonquin Park to the Classic event, and the Coureur des Bois was born. Since then River X has hosted several ultra-distance marathon paddling events including t

he Big East River X, 24 Hours of River X, The OX, Battle of the Paddle, Huntsville 110 and the David Thompson Virtual Paddle Challenge.

Hwy 60 offers so many launching points where the 2026 Algonquin Outfitters Muskoka River X might be starting. Also, AO has three Grills along the 60 that prepare Good Eats and offer Cool Drinks for your after-paddle. Check out the map for their location.
