Are you going through a difficult time in your life right now? Are you wondering where God is in the midst of your challenges? In Isaiah 41:10 we are reminded of God's promise that He is right there with us..."Don't be afraid. I am with you. Don't tremble with fear. I am your God. I will make you strong, as I protect you with My arm and give you victories." (Contemporary English Version). As human begins, we have the ability to communicate with one another through the use of words. The words that we choose to use and the tone in which we choose to say them can either build someone up and make a situation better or they can tear someone down and make a situation worse. The choice is ours. As we choose our words and our tone, may we take to heart the words of wisdom found in Proverbs 15:1…”A gentle answer deflects anger, but harsh words make tempers flare." (New Living Translation). Harshness builds walls while gentleness builds bridges. As we interact with others, may our goal always be to build more bridges than walls. May we choose gentleness over harshness!

As new life continues to burst forth...budding trees, blooming flowers, baby animals, etc...God's handiwork is clearly evident all around us. May we never forget that we too are His handiwork! God made each of us to be a unique creation...a reflection of Him. In Ephesians 2:10 we read, "For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do." (New International Version). When we look at ourselves or others, may we not judge but rather see the beautifully unique handiwork of God in one another!

Did you know National Donut Day was created by The Salvation Army to honour the "Donut Lassies" who served donuts and provided comfort to soldiers during World War I?

To celebrate this sweet tradition, we'll be offering FREE Timbits and donuts to our visitors tomorrow while supplies last!
