We are looking for YOUR feedback to help build our 2027 trail work plan. ⁠

Each year we compile suggestions from trail users to consider for our annual work plan and to help guide current projects. We largely work on valley trails but have also worked in alpine, climbing and backcountry environments. Some of this maintenance includes wayfinding/signage projects, trail reroutes, tread fixes, installing drainage, brushing and sightline clearing. ⁠

Over the summer, we hit the trails to explore the fascinating role fire can play in healthy ecosystems in Jasper National Park. On an interpretive hike, a guide helped people explore the relationship between fire, wildlife, forests, and the process of renewal. ⁠

That's a wrap for our Eco Explorers program!⁠
⁠
From bear shelters, elk & moose, sheep & goat, and orienteering to pollinators, children learned about the wonderful nature and wildlife in Jasper National Park and connected with the outdoors.⁠
⁠
On this day, children learned how to identify sheep from goats, their ecosystem, and their behaviours. Through interactive games, activities, and real examples, they tested their knowledge, made new friends, and had fun in Jasper.
