The idea behind a Wytchhazel Desiderata feather smudge wand is to enhance your own personal practice and technique.
I use a selenite wand to hold the feathers as selenite is a master energy cleanser. I always attach a rose quartz heart to promote love and provide a smooth surface to hold the wand from, as selenite is quite brittle and can leave splinters under the skin. The black tourmaline is there to absorb negative energy and transmute it through the selenite.
I only use white ribbon to hold everything together because white holds all the colours in the spectrum, making it the best colour for energy light work, like Reiki.
Most of the feathers I use in these beautiful wands are from a local birds indigenous to British Columbia, Canada - turkey and guinea fowl for the base staves, Northern Flicker woodpecker, Owl, Crow and Magpie feathers gathered from the area, and peacock feathers collected from the local wildlife park and kangaroo farm.

It's been a hot minute but I'm back! No rest for the wicked- I've been working on several custom pieces and building a few fun projects for Yule and Samhain gifts this year, while renovating our new home in Barnhartvale! I am also looking into expansion- prepping to start the application process for craft shows and markets in 2025.

This one was so much fun! Inspired by a certain beloved Dr. Seuss movie I found on cable tv last weekend, this fuzzy green beauty has polished Chrysocolla beads that help release negative emotions, such as guilt, fear, anger, and resentment. It also has Malachite to help ward off insomnia and Aventurine for loving dreams and waking in a positive mood!
The Grinch could have avoided the whole Whobalation celebration and slept in x-mas morning if he had this dreamcatcher! 😉 36cm loom.
