That's a wrap!

As of today, we are no longer accepting donations at the thrift store.

Starting September 1st, our clearance will begin. Our store hours will decrease so watch the website and this page for our schedule.

Fixtures will be for sale as of Sept 12th. If you're already on the list for a call back, hold off.

In the meantime, please remember to be kind to our staff and volunteers as you shop. It's sad for all of us and bittersweet to be moving on to new things.

It's Chic To Save on Back To School!

Our $10 Bag Sale continues to the end of the week and the rest of the regular store is now 40% off!

The Clearance Centre in the back remains $5 a box, too!

The countdown is on! We will only be open full time until the end of August, then, in September, store hours will be reduced.

Evacuee Donations... Update!!

The current plan is to take everything donated to the Village of Clinton as soon as the Clinton Food Bank opens.

We have sorted through the items donated so far. About 40% of all donations have been unsuitable. We will work on securing an organization that can accept gently used clothing but it MUST BE

1. Seasonally appropriate
2. In excellent condition
3. Casual, relatively new styles, not branded or a free giveaway
4. Unaltered

In particular, the items donated for children have been especially unusable.

If you are still interested in donating, we will take up any shelf-stable food donations, baby supplies, NEW school supplies or backpacks, Childrens good quality, complete toys and games or books.

I am also going to stop in at the senior's centre with clothing and I would love to take craft supplies, too.

Donations are accepted Tuesday to Saturday from 11-3. Please donate responsibly.

Donations for wildfire evacuees now being accepted!

There are so many people that want to donate items for wildfire evacuees! We are going to start accepting limited items for evacuees at Second Chances Thrift Store starting tomorrow.

Items will be available, for free, to any evacuees that require additional support while evacuated, or once they return to their community.

We will work with organizations in affected communities and ESS reception communities to get donations to any organizations that can distribute them.

We don't seem to be able to get away from providing this service, with both donations and evacuees coming in without any prompting. I guess we have a reputation with disaster folks.

We will be accepting..
Clothing in good condition
Linens in good condition
Toiletries
Children's craft supplies, games, puzzles in new or nearly new condition
Reusable bags and back packs
New school supplies
Diapers
Personal hygiene products
Water and gatorade

That's it. No dishes, tv's, vhs recorders, old phones, Xmas decorations, perishable items.

Please do not drop off when the store is closed.

Evacuees can access donations any time by coming in during store hours or messaging us to meet up with them. We will sort and organize everything that comes in and have it ready.
