This is the plan for this afternoon. Happy Cacao sent me these bars awhile back and today’s the day for tasting. Already did the San Vincente Colombie 70% Cacao and it’s gorgeous. So creamy and smooth, notes of nuts and honey shine through, I have to put it away so I can taste the others, but it’s hard to resist 😋.
We served the Hacienda Victoria Ecuador 70% Earl Grey tea at our pairing last Sunday and that one knocked it out of the park!
Looking forward to the rest of the afternoon and the good possibly of another Canadian maker joining our shelves !

Fathers Day vibes. Time to think about daddy-o and his favourite flavours! Peanut butter, caramel, nuts, salted caramel, maple, whisky… we got them all!

Happy Anniversary to us!!! It’s been a total of 14 years since we opened our chocolate store. We spent our first 5 years on Hazeldean Road, opening in March of 2012, incorporated in July 2012 and opened our current spot in the Signature Centre nine years today!
A big thank you to all our customers, many of whom have become good friends, who have helped us build year over year by supporting small business and craft chocolate.
And a huge thank you to the amazing chocolate makers and chocolatiers we have had the privilege to work with, learn from and build a community of craft chocolate fans!
I think we’ll celebrate with chocolate today 😂

What a great afternoon! Our Chocolate and Tea event went so well and we have to thank our guests for that. Totally engaged, lots of questions, loved the pairings (phew because we hadn’t presented most of the before today) and flow was so great. We included a bar that was sent to me from Happy Cacao that I hadn’t had a chance to try so I thought it would be fun to try it with the group ( a little chancy I know) and it was a big hit!
You know, sometimes everything goes perfectly. 😁
