Make the most of your precious yarn and ensure an excellent fit by starting your socks at the toe. This workshop will be your guide to making custom socks no matter what yarn and foot.

No previous sock knitting experience required, but participants should be intermediate-level knitters who are very comfortable working in the round.

Introducing Cosy by Yarns Ewe'll Love

The days are getting shorter, and it’s definitely turning to sweater weather! It’s the perfect time to start making warmer projects, and ‘Cosy’, the newest addition to the Yarns Ewe’ll Love collection, is the perfect yarn for this fall.

Cosy is a plump, soft 100% superwash merino yarn available in a speckled and variegated palette.

For the shop sample, we chose a pattern from Canada’s own STASH lounge, depicting a wheat field motif and paired it with Cascade 220 Superwash Merino, a match made in heaven. One skein of Cosy and one ball of Cascade 220 will definitely make two of these gorgeous colourwork hats. Whether you are in the mood to make accessories or garments, Cosy is a terrific choice for this season’s makes.

Eight years of Yarns Ewe’ll Love! 🎉🧶

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us on Saturday to celebrate. It was such a lovely day, and we really appreciate everyone who came along and joined the fun.

We marked the occasion by introducing Cosy, the newest addition to our own Yarns Ewe’ll Love collection. Cosy is a beautifully soft worsted weight yarn made from 100% extra-fine merino wool, with 200m per 100g skein. And, of course, we had plenty of fun choosing the colourway names too, including Sunset, Tiger Lily, Wildflower, Blueberry Jam and Woodsmoke.

There is lots more newness around the store too. We have welcomed some gorgeous new yarn collections from several of our suppliers and also beautiful locally made project bags from Northern Birds Crafts Paula Klein and plenty of fresh inspiration throughout the shop. These beautiful bags are available for in-store purchase.

We have also been very busy with our needles! Several new store samples are now on display, giving you the chance to see how some of these yarns knit up and hopefully spark an idea or two for your next project.

So come on down, have a good browse, enjoy a yarn squish and see what’s new. There really is so much to explore at the moment!

We will also be drawing the winners of our anniversary door prizes over the next couple of days, so keep an eye out for those announcements.

Knitting for Beginners 2
Dates: Sundays, 4th & 18th October 2026
Times: 1:30 pm to 3:30 pm
Price: $100 + HST

Requirements: Completed knitting for Beginners 1 or experience with casting on, knit and purl stitches and binding off.

Building on the basic stitches and knitting concepts learned in Knitting for Beginners 1, we will be learning how to shape our knitting using different methods of increasing and decreasing stitches. We will also learn how to create an i-cord loop to finish off our project and continue to build our library of knitting terms.

Knit Your First Cowl
Dates: Sundays, 1st, 8th, & 15th November 2026
Time: 1:30 pm to 3:30 pm
Price: $150 + HST

Requirements: Completed Knitting for Beginners 1 or experience with casting on, knit and purl stitches, how to increase and decrease stitches, and binding off.

This class is for those that want to take the next step in their knitting journey and learn to knit in the round. We will be using the skills we learned in Knitting for Beginners 1 (and/or 2) and making our first wearable accessory. We will learn the long-tail cast on, how to create a stretchy ribbed edge, how to do a simple lace pattern and how to create a stretchy bind off. We will also learn how to join new colours to create stripes and how to both carry our yarn and rejoin yarn when we want to switch colours.
