Our evening stroll soundtrack lately 😬

We are a decent distant from any active fires but we live close to an air field where they have been refueling the choppers. The kids love seeing the helicopters, the goats hate how close they are flying, and Scotty and I anxiously make sure they fly back in the same direction (so as not to indicate a new fire in another direction). Thinking of everyone affected this fire season ❀️

Say hello to our new little boy! We needed some new genes introduced to our herd for the upcoming breeding season and this guy fit the bill. He is mostly nubian with a little bit of alpine and we think he is going to make some beautiful babies with our mamas. Now all he needs is a name! So far we have the following names in contension:

Dill
Cosmo
Snapdragon (dragon for short πŸ˜…)

We have added a nesting box with straw into their coop to encourage laying but it has not helped so far - going to add some dummy eggs to it!
