When I try out new ideas, I like them to have a purpose so when I decided to make some table top size sandwich board signs, I took it as an opportunity to support two of my favourite graphic designers.

In a world that is so quick to judge, it is tough being a digital artist. People make snap judgments and unfortunately rarely ask the artist about their methods. They deem them to be AI even when they aren't. Both Rebel Souldier and Stickerific Souvenirs draw everything themselves. I wanted to support that art by trying to help passerby shoppers understand that their work is human made and their own.

These little sandwich board signs worked beautifully to get the message out. Cute, lightweight and folds flat making it easy to pack up and put away. A big thank you to everyone who came out to the Craft Culture Fall Market today! It was a wonderful day and it was so nice to see everyone again and meet some lovely new people as well! I missed this after taking a summer break from markets.
The next chance to shop with me in person will be at the Kelowna Extravaganza Events Fall Extravaganza Market at Rutland Centennial Hall, Oct 17th from 9 am to 3 pm. I have a lot of fun stuff coming, so stay tuned! I can't wait! 😁

Market scams are out of control not just here in the Okanagan, but everywhere. Make sure to do your research and verify it is a legitimate source before sending any money. And if you're not sure, never be afraid to ask! I get scam market invites in my email almost daily and now they are using insurance to try and scam as well. Be vigilant and be safe out there!

I've been quiet on social media but behind the scenes has been anything but! After an amazing summer of custom orders, this week was (mostly) all about getting myself restocked including a full restock of my games boards. Themed crib boards (both full size and travel size!), Frustration Rummy, and Farkle are all returning as well as the market introduction of my tabletop co****le game!

Come down to the this Saturday from 10 am to 4 pm to shop over 80 local artisans at the Fall Market. Shop Canadian, shop local!

AlleyCATS Alliance is a cat rescue very close to my heart. Not only did I adopted my sweet little Kai from them, but they also took in 7 stray cats that we caught, when other rescues wouldn't.

When the lovely Bev saw my sandwich board signs, she commented that one of them would be great for their adoption and fundraiser events. Say less! I'm on it! 😂 One side includes QR codes for information on how to donate or volunteer, as well as their website address. The other side includes their social media handles as well as 2 magnetic strips that allows for event specific customization. And both sides feature the AlleyCATS Alliance logo.

**SCAM ALERT!!** And this one is very good. If you received this email inviting you to apply for the Vernon Festival of Crafts, it is a fake. I was 90% certain it was a scam, and after forwarding the email to Tanya, it was confirmed. Do not send these people any money. The email looks very convincing, but the address it has been sent from is fake. Applications for the Festival of Crafts are available on their website, vernonpresents.ca only!! The real email address for Tanya is [email protected]

It is hard enough being a vendor without being targeted by scams like these and with the Christmas season quickly approaching, I'm sure they will become even more rampant than they already are. Be vigilant and spread the word to expose these scammers. Checking the email address and comparing it to market organizers website or socials accounts is a great way to verify these invitations. Cold calls for markets of this size are also highly unusual. And as always, if you are unsure, reach out to the market community to ask before you give anyone money. The market community has each other's backs ♥️

One more tent sign out the door, this time for my market bestie, the lovely Ogopogosoapco! This handpainted sign features her brand new logo and is oh so eye catching! It is by far my most elaborate sign to date but I am so happy with how it came out. ☺️
