This was a fun one. Perfect for a speed puzzle. Perfect for getting some interruptions too 😉. Close to sub 50, I’ll get it under 50 next time! (Maybe do it outside store hours).

A bit of Déjà vu? Yes it does look familiar. The same puzzle I did the other day but in a larger piece cut and they gave it a different name.

I’ve also learned a trick to bring more people into the store. Record a video speed puzzling and inevitably someone will visit in the middle of the solve. 😉

Last comment. This is the first time I’ve seen the same puzzle with the same piece count just different piece size. I’ve seen the same image with different piece counts but never the same count and different piece size. Does anyone know of this for other Ravensburger titles?

The time is fine, larger pieces slow things down, unfamiliarity with the piece cut, plus having to refocus after each stoppage made it go slower than the regular 500 piece cut.

It feels good to get back under 50mins on a Ravensburger. I took Amanda’s advice and did an easy one. I also saw that I have the same puzzle in large piece format so I may have to compare.

Let’s go find a puzzle!

In today’s puzzle adventure we feature Sana | Laila Luxury Puzzles “little Laila - Coral Cafe - 100 pc”

This exquisite, soft matte finish, beautifully packaged, and super cute image is a joy for all ages. This particular copy is in our Demo library. A couple of Rav 500s.

Starting to get disappointed with my times edging back over an hour.

Likely for the rest of September I’m going to let the real pros post their speed puzzle times as they all prepare for worlds. I’ll get back to some more curious finds and different brands as well. Maybe some different angles and formats. The goal is to get the YouTube channel up and running by month’s end.

First time puzzling a full 400 pcs wooden puzzle solo!

Lounge guests Josh and Carol brought in this puzzle yesterday and completed it; and kindly offered me to opportunity to do it myself as well. I planned on doing it later in the week but couldn’t wait. While I timed myself I wasn’t really speeding through it like I might have been able to.

I have to say it was really fun to solve and never found myself getting stuck. Plus, all the crazy piece shapes are quite interesting and tricky to place, which added another dimension. Stumpcraft always has excellent quality puzzles and images, a great 🇨🇦 brand.

Sometimes a puzzle can just get the best of you. You get to maybe 60 pieces from the end but get frustrated by a single colour, and let alone the edge too! That was my experience with this Puzzle.

Did a simple sort into 4 groups, but knew the solid colour at the end would make for a challenging foe. I even stopped to assess and change the lighting. Didnt really help. Kudos to those who breeze through this one.

I’ve done many 500s in more time than this one, but NGL, it stings.
