🌱 Garlic is back at Arlo’s.

For years, honey and garlic went hand in hand here on the farm, and we’re excited to bring that tradition back.

This beautiful Red Russian garlic is grown just down the road by our neighbours. It’s grown without sprays or chemicals, just healthy soil, sunshine, rain, and time.

We were lucky enough to lend a hand with the harvest, and it’s always a reminder of just how much work goes into growing good food.

Fresh, local, and now available in the farm shop. 🧄🍯

Something is coming back to Arlo’s. Any guesses?

🍓🫐 Here are our 2026 Beeswax Wraps!

This year’s vintage about strawberries and blueberries! We source the fabric locally at heirloom_bohemia , then handcraft each wrap on our farm using our own beeswax.

It seemed like the perfect choice, because bees and other pollinators are essential for growing the strawberries and blueberries we love. 💛

For , beeswax wraps are a simple swap for single-use plastic. They are good for your kitchen and a small step toward reducing waste.

Which print would you choose? 🍓 or 🫐

Bee floaties to the rescue! 🐝💛

One of our amazing beekeeping volunteers made these adorable bee floaties for the pool, and they’re more than just cute!

With the hot weather, bees need lots of water to bring back to the hive. They use it to help cool their home, nature’s own air conditioning! 🌡️💧

If you have a hive nearby, you might spot bees stopping by for a drink. Just remember… bees can’t swim! They need a safe place to land, take a sip, and dry off before flying home.

A few floating corks, sticks, pebbles, or little bee floaties like these can make all the difference. 🐝💕

🐝 Swarm Season 2026!

As requested, here’s a mashup of some of the swarms we dealt with this season!

Most of these swarms actually came to us. They moved into our stored hive equipment, likely attracted by the smell of the beeswax on the frames. For a swarm looking for a new home, that’s a pretty irresistible head start!

We believe only one of these swarms came from our own hives, which means there are clearly more honey bee colonies in the area than we realized.

And believe it or not… since filming these clips, we’ve dealt with three more swarms! 🫣 It has definitely been one of the busiest swarm seasons we’ve experienced.

If you’re a beekeeper, how was your swarm season this year? And if you’re not, did you spot any swarms in your neighbourhood? 🐝
