Amherstview is such a beautiful, tight-knit little community, filled with small businesses and self-made entrepreneurs & rainy Sunday mornings feel like the perfect excuse to sleep in, stay in your PJs, and wander over to the closest spot for a little breakfast treat 🫶

Today, we discovered a brand-new little gem right here in our neighbourhood: a porch bakery just 2 minutes from home for us! 🍞

Nestled in main part of the neighborhood if you live locally you can't miss 107 Ch*****ne Crescent, the wicker shelves and retro fridge stocked with high-quality sourdough, seasonal charcuterie boxes, and fresh baked goods are so nostalgic and welcoming... it genuinely feels like you're stopping by Grandma's kitchen for a couple of homemade snacks, or pulling up to a little country farm stand 🥹

And the treats?! We absolutely devoured our Oatmeal Cream Pie and Espresso Sourdough Roll — both were SO good and the perfect lazy day snacks 🍪

The Amherstview Night Market was a very fun evening we had a great time and that golden hour sunlight was beautiful for photos 🫶

What was genuinely the best part of the event for me was how many of you who came by to say hello or pick out a new treasure, we're already familiar with Modern Crystallization through the workshops & stocked shelf space at The Giddy Goat Café the GIDDY GOAT cafe in the same neighborhood, it was lovely to meet each of you, see your collections and answer any questions you had about your pieces 🛍✨️

We had a simple set up this time but i hope to attend more local markets and wellness events in Amherstview & Loyalist area again, its great to meet all the other amazing entrepreneurs in this area and make new connections, thankyou Rebecca Rebecca Simkins for organizing this!

August has been a month of gratitude for all of the amazing opportunities the community & my business provide me for collaboration, partnership and sharing knowledge...getting to create these one-of-a-kind, custom-designed & illustrated Chakra Crystal Sets for this 7-week series at North Of Now Wellness was a particularly special opportunity 🕉✨️

I’m so grateful to Ulanda & Becca for trusting me with designing the chakra cards and curating the crystals that will become part of these beautiful take-home sets, included with registration for the full 7-week program 🫶

Another successful Tarot For Beginners at the GIDDY GOAT cafe this evening 🐐🌙

I am full of gratitude & appreciation for my community, everyone who has participated in our past workshops, picked up a little something from my shelf space by the cash while they wait for a morning coffee and most of all for owners Kat & Jeff, who continue to support my brand and provide the space in their Café to host these workshops & sell a small selection of my goods for the last few years, as if offering up their evenings after hours wasn't enough they also fully cater any of our ticketed events, so i am truly blessed to have them 🫶

It was a pleasant suprise to see 1 or 2 familiar faces from our original Crystals For Beginners series that ran in months before & it was lovely to welcome so many new ones as well 😊

We explored the foundations of tarot in a fun, hands-on way — from choosing a deck that feels right for you, to practicing simple one-card readings for guidance, learning easy first-time spreads with one another, and sharing our own interpretations of the cards as we learned together 📖✍️

We also explored crystal pairings that can compliment and enhance your card pulls, and help manifest energies related to your readings ✨️

There’s something so beautiful about creating a space where everyone can learn together, ask questions, share perspectives and leave feeling a little more confident in trusting their own intuition 😌

These evenings are so special to me as a business owner I love sharing my knowledge & getting to know my clients/customers better i look forward to the next one 🖤

Oracle Card Of The Week: #16 The Coyote Spirit

Spirit Messaging: "Trust In Divine Detours" ↪️

Pulling this card while wandering through downtown Kingston at sunset the other night felt pretty fitting — sometimes the path we take isn’t the one we originally planned, but that doesn’t mean we’re headed in the wrong direction 🗺

Coyote Spirit arrives as a reminder to trust the unexpected twists, changes and detours that show up along your journey. Not everything has to unfold exactly as planned, and sometimes what feels like a setback or wrong turn is actually redirecting you toward something you never would have found otherwise!

If things aren’t going according to plan right now, try not to force the outcome. Give yourself permission to pause, look at things from a different perspective, and stay open to where life may be guiding you instead 🚪✨️

This is a beautiful time to trust your intuition, embrace the unexpected and remember that you don’t always need to know exactly where you’re going. Some of the most meaningful parts of our journey can be found in the detours 🫶

Our Craft Meet-Up & Crystal/Trinket Swap at Lake Ontario Park on August 15th with was such a beautiful day and a great success! 🫶

Everyone who came by was so sweet and creative, it was great watching everyone craft, colour, bead or crochet something totally unique to them! We also loved seeing everyone bring crystals and card decks to swap with one another — I know there were lots of great trades happening 👀 we even had some of the awesome staff at Kingston's 98.3 FLY FM stop by to promote us on their page!

Andrea (Sunshyne) and I are also extremely grateful for all of the monetary and physical donations of art supplies to help support the continuation of these free monthly craft circles and community events, as well as the donations to our care packages for some of the most vulnerable members of our community facing homelessness, addiction and mental health crisis.

Thank you so much to everyone who came out, participated, donated and helped make our first collaboration meet-up so special.
We’re so excited to continue building this little community together 🫶
