Thank You For This review on guitar-list.com! I keep getting this same type of comment and honestly it all comes down to Wood Grade and I make sure each instrument is made from AAA Grade tone wood.
Being a small business, I'd rather not compete with other companies... I personally own a Martin D-28 and a 1947 Gibson L-7. I love them but I didn't love the prices or the issues like cracking, Bridge lift, binding popping off, warping, keys slipping, neck separation, and a lifetime gaurantee that doesnt cover nearly any of the above unless shipped to a special Luthier... Thats why I decided to create a Dreadnaught of superior hand built quality at a fraction of the price - No warping, no cracking, no binding or inlay issues, No Bridge lift - Zero of these issues - with the best sound possible so even a beginning musician can own a forevor guitar earlier with a sound that makes people stop and listen.
To be completely transparent with you all, I have had one issue with the Original Barker Guitar Case - not holding up as it should. The issue could not be resolved and I now have a new case manufacturer. Now superior hard shell black ABS cases custom fit to The Barker Guitar, Royal Blue plush interior, 5 latches with a key lock. This Case is actually the quality of a profetional flight case because a guitar of this quality needs a case to protect it a lifetime.
Also I would like to add, I personally tested a Spruce top, Rosewood back and sides Barker Guitar for one year in the Canadian Winter hanging on a cold wall, and baseboard heater underneath it. I used no humidity helpers tuned to full tension 440... After 4 seasons I had zero issues with that guitar. Not a Crack. That Guitar sold in 2021 and when I told the customer they thought the guitar was brand new So I can proudly stand behind my design.
