On 28 Safar, we commemorate the martyrdom of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH)—the Messenger of Allah and a mercy to all creation.

His departure was an immense loss for the Ummah, but he did not leave us without guidance: the Quran and his Ahlulbayt (AS).

Tonight, let us remember him with our children. Send salawat. Share one story from his life. Choose one act of mercy your family will carry forward.

May our words be truthful, our hearts merciful, and our homes filled with salawat.

Peace and blessings be upon Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and his Ahlulbayt (AS).

Son départ fut une immense perte pour la Oumma, mais il ne nous a pas laissés sans guide : le Coran et ses Ahlulbayt (AS).

Ce soir, souvenons-nous de lui avec nos enfants. Récitons le salawat. Partageons un récit de sa vie. Choisissons un geste de miséricorde à poursuivre en famille.

Lately, I’ve been reflecting on how these opportunities to speak about the Ahlulbayt (AS) keep opening for me.

Every lecture comes with reading, research, preparation, and a deep sense of responsibility. I never want to speak about these sacred figures lightly, and I never want to share something unless I feel confident in what I am saying.

More than anything, I feel grateful.
A quiet kind of tawfiq from Allah — to be given opportunities to learn, to prepare, and to serve in even a small way.

May Allah accept what is sincere, forgive my shortcomings, and continue opening doors for me to serve the prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and Ahlulbayt (AS). 🤍

Muharram has passed, but the mourning has not ended.

Safar carries forward the grief of Karbala—the journey of the captives, the strength of Lady Zaynab (AS), and the truth that could not be silenced.

As we teach our children about Karbala, we are not only helping them remember a tragedy. We are helping them recognize truth, choose courage, show compassion, and carry the values of Imam Hussain (AS) into their everyday lives.

One day, he will come.

And he will turn all darkness into light.

For every child who has known only war…
For every family waiting to return home…
For every tear shed in silence…
For every heart longing for justice…

We hold on to Allah’s promise.

Karbala taught us that oppression can wound the body, but it can never extinguish the truth. The message of Imam Hussain (AS) lives on because truth belongs to Allah.

And one day, by Allah’s permission, Imam Mahdi (AS) will rise and fill the earth with justice after it has been filled with oppression.

Until that day, we raise our children with the values of Karbala—faith, courage, compassion, patience, and unwavering trust in Allah.

Ashura was not the end.

After Karbala, the family of Imam Hussain (AS) was taken captive and forced to continue the journey—from Karbala to Kufa, and then toward Damascus.

Among them were the women and children of the Ahlul-Bayt (AS), including young Sayyida Ruqayya (AS), carrying grief far beyond her age.

As Safar approaches, we remember not only what happened in Karbala, but the painful journey that carried its message forward.
