This was meant to be nothing more than a fun experiment. I dont know why I was so surprised that this 6" Upsized Road Toad worked so well. After all, it is identical to the original in every way aside from scale.

If anything, having a bigger version of it actually helps to better visualize the action of the smaller original. They behave exactly the same.

In case you were curious, thats a 12/0 Owner Hooks Beast hook its rigged on. Still looks a bit small 😄

Did you know❓️

Every single Yabbie is meticulously hand poured at the Limestone Lures baitshop right here in Kingston, Ontario.

It's not a perfect science, and sometimes overpouring happens, which means I have to clean up the flashing and overpour with scissors or a pair of nippers after. It takes extra time, but the effort is worth it for the end result.

I could turn it into an injection mold, and maybe someday I will. But for now, this is the way.

Just messing around with up-scaling the 4" Road Toad to 6"

I was intending to mix up a small batch of Green Pumpkin but used the wrong green by mistake. So instead of just adding it to the Phoenix pile, I decided to play with a flake combo I've been thinking about and shoot it into an upsized Road Toad mold I made for the lolz.

Obviously it would be bigger, but until I had actually poured the first test run, I honestly didn't anticipate just how much more chunky it would be vs the original size!

Think this would work well for Musky topwater? Big Pike maybe? Or would you throw this fat frog for something else?

Local pickup is no longer available 🙁

For a myriad of reasons, I've had to stop offering this convenience to my customers in and around the Kingston Area. I wish there was another way, but sadly this had to be done.

I appreciate your understanding, and your continued support of Limestone Lures in spite of this negative news.

Some day I'll have my own shop separate from my home, but until then, this is the way.

Round three of the Kids, Cops and Canadian Tire Fishing Days for 2026 in the books!

My fishing buddy and I got to attend this one, and it was awesome! There were so many different activities in addition to the fishing for kids to participate in and I dont think I saw a single kid that wasn't smiling all day!

Well done to the sponsors, Gananoque Police Service, and all the rest of the Municipal, Provincial and Federal Law enforcement agencies that came out to spend time with the community and show off some of the impressive equipment they use to help keep us safe on and off the water!

A special BZ and thank you to Sgt. Mike Driscoll who has been organizing this event for the past number of years! It wad a banger from day one, and just keeps getting bigger and better every year!
