A LITTLE CHANGE IS HAPPENING AROUND HERE ✨

The Violet Lemon started with one goal: helping my sweet girl Violet get the care she needs.

After everything she’s been through, including major surgeries for 3 of her 4 legs, she still has ongoing physio, rehab, medications, vet appointments and hopefully no more surgeries for that fourth leg..!!

The Violet Lemon is still very much for her.
But I also realized that I want to create differently.

I started with dolls, then added clothes, scrunchies and bandanas, and I really loved making them. But I was also starting to think too much about what would sell and what I could make over and over again, and less about the art itself.

I don’t want creating to feel like that.

So from now on, I’m giving myself a lot more freedom.

Sculptures, drawings, paintings, dolls, clay, fabric, 3D printing, mixed media… whatever I feel like making at the moment.

If I get obsessed with an idea and can’t get it out of my head, I’ll just make it, no matter how weird it can be!! 😌

My dolls, their clothes, scrunchies and bandanas aren’t disappearing, they will still be there if you want to purchase them. But I’m no longer limiting myself to making things that can be done over and over again the same way (ish).

I want to make unique pieces, only once, slowly, without the pressure of knowing whether they’ll sell or not. Just out of passion!!

I’m also retiring the website and moving everything to Instagram and Facebook to save on monthly costs. I’ll still handle payments, invoices, taxes and shipping the same kind of way, but orders will now happen through direct messages.

I’m really excited to see where this takes me and I’m hoping you’ll follow along and get excited with me through this crazy ride 🖤

I’ve been a little absent from social media these past few weeks but my head is still very much here, constantly dreaming up new ideas while we take care of our sweet girl 🖤 (and boy, cause he needs just as much love!!)

In between cuddles, I’ve been slowly working on some new little things that are a bit different, but feel a little more me ☺️

I’m very excited to show you what I’ve been working on, but it’s definitely still a work in progress and very much in the trial and error phase. So get excited… but maybe not too much.. I’m a bit of a perfectionist 😬

In the meantime, enjoy Violet’s gorgeous smile 😬🖤

🖤 Violet update 🖤

We still made the trip to Ottawa today, even though she was already feeling much better this morning.

The surgeon said she’s doing better than expected! Her rehab is going really well, and everything looked and felt great. We came home with a few extra pain meds to keep her comfortable while she heals.

She’s now back on the couch with us, where she belongs 🖤 (Yes, we carried her up there 😁)

Sometimes the strongest souls are the quietest ones 🖤

Violet has been through more than any dog should, and on Tuesday she’ll face another major surgery 😔 Every procedure gives us hope that she’ll have less pain and more happy days ahead…✨

She’s resting today, soaking up all the love, and we’ll be right beside her every step of the way.

Wish our little lemon luck 🖤

We’ll keep everyone updated as she recovers. Thank you for loving her as much as we do 😭
