✨365 days ago we landed in France—my first time in Europe, and really, anywhere outside of North America.

We arrived just as the Olympics were wrapping up. Paris was sparkling, alive with tourists, and full of magic. Of course we checked off the icons—the Eiffel Tower, Arc de Triomphe, Moulin Rouge—but the moments I loved most were found on ordinary streets: cafés with florals spilling over awnings, bakeries filling the air with fresh bread, flower shops overflowing with buckets of blooms. And that was only Paris.

In Dieppe, we stood in awe as the Pipes and Drums of Essex and Kent Scottish Military were honoured to march in memory of those who lost their lives in 1942 on Red Beach—a moment even more breathtaking than the lights of the city.

I’ll forever feel lucky to have experienced these moments 💛✨
