Announcements of upcoming pre-orders, a sale and some small changes to our business model will be coming next week.

We are not going anywhere! Changes to my personal life have affected my dedication to Gracie Jay, meaning that changes need to be made to accommodate both the change, and in order to improve my current mental health state.

Comments on this post will be turned off because I know I will not have the time to reply to them over the weekend.

If you have sent an email that you have not received a reply to, I have to kindly ask that you please allow me until Wednesday to reply to your original email. If you do not hear from me by then, please send a follow up to bump your message.

📣Update 📣Our planned vaca has been postponed, so we will be working on getting some more packages sent your way next week. If you are waiting for a reply to an email from the past week (or so!) we will be going through to make sure that those are caught up by the end of this weekend.

We will be hosting a pre-order for the Faerie collection from Ethereal starting tomorrow, December 27th at 9pm EST. It WILL NOT INCLUDE any collabs or customs. All collabs and customs will be available exclusively through Ethereal.

We were hoping to get a Boxing Day sale ready for you, but, you know...life! Since we do not want to put the sale off any further, it will start this Saturday, December 28th at 12pm (noon) EST. *NOTE ABOUOT PREVIOUS MYSTERIES: These are shades that were originally available as an individual shade, or in mystery bags of 2 or 3. If they were part of a bag, we have pulled the individual shades from the bags and created new listings for each shade that we have. Because there are typically not swatcher photos available for us to use, we have included the link to the spoiler threads in the respective brand groups.

Products that are already in-stock will remain visible for wishlisting right up until the time of the sale. Restock items will remain visible until 9am EST on Saturday (28th). At that time they will be hidden to prepare for the restock. Hidding wishlisted products has not affected customer wishlists in the past, so we do not anticipate that to be any different this time around.

📨SHIPPING UPDATES📨
With Canada Post employees back to work, shipping will soon resume at Gracie Jay & Co.

Since we are a small business that uses their On Demand parcel pickup, we will be able to begin scheduling pickups again starting Monday, December 23rd.

Shipping notifications will begin hitting your inboxes today, however, please keep in mind that we have quite a number of orders backlogged to go out for shipping so it may take us a few days to get all shipping notifications out.

If you receive a shipping notification, you will not see your order picked up by Canada Post until Monday, December23rd. It is also important to note that we are limited to the number of parcels that we can schedule for each pickup, so pickups may have to be spread out over a number of days.

We had a shut down of the office scheduled to begin today until January 6, 2025, however we will be working until we can clear as much backlog as possible between now and December 26th (when we have a pre-scheduled vacation planned).

We were hoping that the Canada Post would not affect our Black Friday weekend, but with the strike still ongoing, we have decided to forgo a Black Friday sale this year. Since we have paused shipping during the strike, we would not be able to get any of your orders out to you after the sale ended, so putting off the sale seems the best thing to do. (Reminder: our store is still open for shopping, however orders will not be shipped until the strike ends.)

Any new product launches that our brands offer will still be offered as a pre-order during Black Friday weekend. Most of our brands ship via couriers like UPS or FedEx, so their products will still get to us. Our TAT for pre-orders is typically 6-8 weeks anyway, so fingers crossed, we will be able to ship those pre-orders as soon as the product is in our hands, and the strike has ended.

You can find all upcoming pre-orders in the Events tab in our Facebook group (https://www.facebook.com/groups/graciejaygabfest/events), and on our website https://graciejayandco.com/collections/pre-order-pre-sale.

In place of a Black Friday sale, we will host a sale as soon as the strike ends, with it happening on Boxing Day at the earliest (🤞fingers crossed🤞). We will post dates and details as soon as we know of an end to the Canada Post strike.

As I have mentioned, my oldest is directly affected by this strike. We absolutely appreciate and understand that other small businesses have pivoted and arranged alternate shipping during this time, however it was just not something that we felt we could do.

If you normally would have shopped with us during our Black Friday weekend sales, please reallocate that budget to other small businesses 💕 If shopping Black Friday was not even on your radar or within your budget, please continue to support small businesses by liking and sharing their posts! Every little bit of love counts!!!
