Thank you to all who came out and supported us in our final race at Cedar Creek Raceway, the 2021 Goodfellows Charity race! This year we once again set a new donation record of $2300! That brings our 7 year running total to $11,015! You guys once again knocked it out of the park this year and I can’t thank you enough! It was great to see some new and old faces come out of the woodwork for one last run! The racing all day was fantastic and a lot of fun was had by all. Thanks to our sponsors that donated door prizes – Performance Hobbies, Hyper Hobbies, Cedar Creek Hobbies and Kirt Scammell, I think everybody walked away with something! Thanks to Pete Elphinstone Jr for the mobile hobby shop. Also big thanks to Greg Litster for organizing the lunch order. Thank you to my wife Deborah for the cupcakes and for keeping me sane through the last couple weeks of madness. Thanks to Brian Caza and Brandon Marshall for the computer help throughout the day. Also big thanks to Jeff Say and Brian Caza for helping with the new track layout, it definitely proved a unique challenge!

I’m personally very thankful that we can end our 17 year run on such a high note! It will be strange not having our regular Friday night races anymore. So many good memories and great friendships were made over the years. Once again thank you to each and every racer that supported us! Also thank you to all those that have helped out with the track itself over the years. Without your support none of this would have been possible! All good things must come to an end though, and I’m excited to see what the future holds... When one door closes another one opens. Hope to see everyone at Windsor RC Raceway in 2022!

Just a couple last minute notes before this weekends race... Doors will open at 12pm tomorrow for practice. Lights turn out at 9pm. You are welcome to leave your stuff at the track overnight *AT YOUR OWN RISK*. It's a shared building so its possible for other tenants to come and go. Track and personnel will not be liable for damaged or missing items. If you do plan on leaving your stuff please make sure everything is turned off and unplugged before leaving.

Face masks mandatory at ALL times.

If anybody has a couple extra extension cords or power bars please bring them as they may be needed.

Please also try to have cash on hand for your donations, it makes things a lot easier if we can present it all to the Goodfellows all at once.

Also, if you have kept any stuff at the track in the lockers or wherever, ever please make sure it is all removed by the end of the race on Saturday.

Lets try to make this one last race day one of the best!

The Grande Finale! The 2021 Goodfellows Charity Race! This will be the final event held at Cedar Creek Raceway. All money raised go directly to the local chapter of the Goodfellows.

Practice Friday 12pm-9pm
Racing Saturday Doors 8am racing @ 10:30am

I would just like to thank Performance Hobbies, Hyper Hobbies and Cedar Creek Hobbies for sponsoring the event!

We currently have spots for 40 people setup (2 people per white table, everything else will be marked out). We do have a small amount of space for people to setup their own tables should we need to use the extra space. Extension cords and power bars would be needed in that case.

Proof of vaccine is mandatory and masks at ALL times.

If you plan on coming please post here... I know there is interest from out of town racers that are planning on coming, so I just want to make sure we will have enough space for everybody.

November 10th update... We’ve decided to make the Goodfellows Charity Race our final race day at Cedar Creek Raceway. I know it’s a bit short notice but with all the work that needs to be done dismantling the facility, we will need the time to do it given the Holiday season is right around the corner. Our last regular club race will be this Friday (Nov 12th). I know this is short notice but unfortunately the situation is out of our control. Again, we really appreciate each and every person who supported us over the years! We’ve had some really great racing and a lot of fun over the years and I can’t thank you guys enough for the support!

As for the future... Jeff and I have been running the club for the past 6 years and it has been a lot of work. We both travel for work now (as well as living an hour from the track) and it has made things increasingly more difficult for us to run the club. At this point we cannot put forth the proper effort to make a track succeed whether it has a permanent home or preforms as a setup/take-down track (like NiagaraRC). We personally will not be actively looking at setting up a new facility. We will keep the carpet, barriers, scoring equipment and all other things needed to run the track. If anybody wants to take the initiative in setting up a new onroad track/club in the Windsor/Essex/Chatham area we will donate all the equipment to get that setup. That said, we aren’t just going to pass it off to anybody that asks for it. There needs to be a serious effort and plan in place and if we are satisfied that the new track/club can succeed we will provide all the equipment. I hope everybody understands that we really don’t want to see onroad racing go away in this area but we also cannot commit to running a track anymore.

Spending 17 years at the same location is really rare these days, and once again I thank everybody that has come through our doors past and present. Lets make these last couple race days the best they can be!

Well unfortunately the day has come once again... I was just notified by the landlord that new tenants are taking over the building and we need to be out by January 1st. We will club race this week as usual and the Goodfellows Charity Race will still happen November 20th. Beyond that I'm not sure how things will play out. I just want to thank everybody that has supported us over the past 17 years and hope we can find something new. I'll keep everybody updated as much as possible.

Just some clarification... The Goodfellows Charity Race is NOT a trophy race. Every dollar raised for this race goes directly to the Goodfellows. Our annual trophy race, the March Meltodwn (March 4th/5th, 2022) and the Ron Garant Memorial Race (Date TBA) will be our trophy races.

If you are unable to make it to the Goodfellows Charity Race, but still wish to donate to the cause, please contact me and we can set something up!

The Goodfellows Charity Race!

Friday Nov 19th Practice 12pm-9pm
Saturday Nov 20th Doors Open 8am
Racing @10:30am
3 Rounds of Quailifing plus single mains

*Proof of vaccination and face masks are mandatory at ALL times*

In 2020, we raised $2065 in cash and donated a pile of canned goods as well! Our goal is to beat that in 2021! This year, we are asking for cash only donations. I will still have debit/credit available if absolutely necessary but cash is preferred.

Entry Fee: Minimum equivalent to normal non member club race fees (1st Class $25 + $5 for each additional). Due to Covid, we ask for cash donations if possible. All proceeds will go to the local Goodfellows. Racer who donates the most to the cause will receive free entry (unlimited classes) to the 2022 March Meltdown on March 4th/5th, 2022!

For those planning on attending please let us know your coming. We'd just like to get a rough idea of how many people are coming se we can plan accordingly.

Reminder brake cleaner is banned in the building. Please consider Clorox Green Works or Spray 9 as cleaning alternatives. TDK odorless traction compound is the only compound allowed and is available at the track.

If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask! So who is in?
