Another Friday night....Just me and Budley.

We are working on a special bee design and if this works out it will soon be reproduced on the back of a denim jacket. Flowers take several shades of a colour, so we are working on some deep pink..

I love bee products.

Oh my oh my oh my oh my!!

Look what's new in the studio!! Gorgeous stained glass window hangers and plant stakes made by Millennial Glass right here in downtown Emerald. They are beyond lovely. I cant decide which one I love the most. Is it the bee...hummingbird...frog? Jeepers, I love them all!

Open today from 3:30 to 7 pm.

Happy Thursday!

Good news. Rehab officially broke up with me! But they will call in 3 months just to say hello ;) I have been going weekly since February and I finally can hold a pin, scissors, steering wheel...with little pain. I am excited to start sewing things like runners, bowl cozies, quilts again and maybe a little gardening. It really happened at a rotten time for summer production but hey...life happens, and I feel so blessed to have such a dedicated team behind me. It may take 18 months to get feeling back in my finger but I have learned how to manage it.

And here is a bittersweet story...this morning a family friend and I set up a bird bath for my dear mom while on parent duty (dad bought it for her upcoming birthday). Very little interests my mom these days but she does love watching her birds. So now I can't get her away from the window....so determined to see one of her friends ... gotta love your parents. I feel blessed to have two and it is such a privilege to help bring them joy.

Please don't tell me this is going to be another dreary day!! Oh well, right?

Until I leave for parent duty, I am busy pricing, labeling and packing up product for the Kensington Market. My son is helping me set up tomorrow night, but the market itself doesnt open until June 15.

Here are a few new products packed up and ready. I really hope it will be a terrific year with lots of visitors and tourists. My studio will also be open when I am not at my parents. I will post as I go.

Today the parents have errands to do so I expect to be home late afternoon and will be open until 7 pm.

Was a crazy busy day in the studio today and also in my production space getting ready for the Kensington Market. Set up is Thursday for me. Woohoo!

Then tonight I took a break and had a friend over for home made pizza . This momma hasn't lost her knack for a very soft and yummy dough.

I finished another basket of wonky potatoes ...all priced and ready. These sold much faster that I expected and are super fun to make.

Studio closed tomorrow. Parent care is calling.

Happy May 31... the last day of May and also a Blue Moon evening. They say blue moons give us the opportunity for personal reflection, so tonight I plan to think of all my blessings and what I can do or change in my life. And I might eat nachos.

I'm excited to share that my hand is healing after countless cupping and laser sessions (the staff at PCH are amazing and so committed to giving me use of my prominant hand), and hours of physio exercises. It may take 18 months to get proper feeling in the one finger, but my palm is feeling a lot better.

So, I tried to make bread yesterday and succeeded (my weekly customer was starting to froth at the mouth). To celebrate, I made dinner rolls this morning. These will be in the booth around lunchtime after they've had a chance to cool. I also have several dozen freshly graded eggs today. Woohoo. Time to watch for flour sales ;)

Studio open 9:30 to 3:30 today.

Happy dreary Saturday! I am missing the sun so much....it is hard to feel energized when it's rotten out.

At parents for a double shift then heading home to open the studio. Hours today 3 to 7. Hopefully there is enough solar power to turn on the heater for a bit.

This morning in Miscouche, Mom watched as I finished a mug rug, a t towel, and 2 new little zippered and fully-lined pouches. What do you think of these little bags for tweens? Yay or nay?
