For this celebration, we embraced a joyful colour palette that carried beautifully from the ceremony into the reception. By thoughtfully repurposing floral arrangements after the ceremony, we were able to create a sweetheart table that felt full, intentional, and seamlessly connected to the rest of the day.

It’s one of the many reasons our team remains on-site throughout your wedding day. We’re there to carefully transition florals between spaces, making the most of every bloom while ensuring each design feels as though it was always meant to be there.

Sweetheart tables are one of my favourite parts of the reception to design.

It’s the one space in the room that’s fully yours.
Everything else is for your guests… this is where it comes back to you.

And when it’s done right, it doesn’t feel overdone.
It just naturally becomes the focal point.

A lot of the time, we’re not starting from scratch here.

We’re taking elements from earlier in the day… ceremony florals, arrangements, pieces you already invested in… and reworking them into something that feels completely new.

Same florals.
Different moment.

It’s adjusting placement.
Layering in candles.

Making sure it actually fits the space and flows with the rest of the room.

Because it’s not about adding more.
It’s about knowing what to move, what to keep, and where it all makes the most impact.

That’s what changes how a reception feels.

This ceremony design was from an early spring wedding, and it’s one of my favourite examples of how much the space itself influences everything.

At Whistle Bear Golf Club, the light, the tones, and the layout already do so much of the work for you.
So the goal isn’t to overfill the room.

It’s to design in a way that enhances what’s already there.
Where florals feel intentional, not excessive.
Where the colour palette works with the season, not against it.
Where every piece flows from ceremony to reception without feeling disconnected.
