Our Story
Hockey has been a large part of our national identity, and our family has enjoyed playing the sport from a young age like many Canadians do. During the winter, Mason, Tyler, Parker and Jerry, play or coach, on a routine basis and as a result we like to keep our edges even, sharp and smooth.
After waiting in long lines, getting some poor sharpens and paying a premium for them, we figured there had to be a better way. It didn't take long before we discovered the benefits of the Sparx Sharpener. The main reasons we chose Sparx were the consistent quality, ease of use and compact size. After a few sharpens, we all agreed this sharpener came as advertised.
We quickly decided that we could offer the same high quality sharpens to others in our local skating community and the business could teach our young boys about entrepreneurship. From this, Komoka Skate Sharpening was born. We're a low volume, high quality skate shop and we treat blades like gold. Check us out, satisfaction is always guaranteed.
