Tariff Troubles
In the last couple weeks we’ve seen a great outpouring of interest and support for our business and the beekeeping industry as a whole, as talks of tariffs loom over the Canadian honey market.
We can’t say enough about how much your support means, and how much we appreciate how you want to help.
And you can make a difference! Buying your honey either directly from the producer, or through reputable brands that contain 100% Canadian honey will strengthen the Canadian market and provide increased opportunities for producers to sell their honey locally, instead of needing to ship it.
It will be a while before we know the true extent of the effects of the tariffs if they remain in place (we haven’t even finished the 2026 honey harvest yet), but focusing on shopping local is something we can all be empowered to do in the mean time.
