We've had a number of you asking what type of paint stripper we are using on our furniture, so we're here to help answer your questions!

For starters...ALWAYS USE THIS PRODUCT IN A WELL VENTILATED AREA (we're doing it outside to be safe).

We use a thick layer of Circa 1850 super d solver and the trick is 'thick'!! We pour it on the surface and quickly even it out with a brush and leave it to do its job! After a half hour we check in on the progress and usually it is bubbling and cracking like in the photos!

Then we scrape off the paint. It might not all come off on the first try, so reapply the stripper again once you've removed all you can.

After this, you might want to use a stiff brush to clean up your piece and help remove more paint chips and debris.

Then you can actually wash your piece of furniture, sand it, and prep it for staining 😊
