Well pump replacement, in action! 🔧

Our technicians were out on-site tackling a full well pump replacement:
💧removing the old submersible pump,
💧pipe and wire,
💧and installing a brand new setup, complete with a torque arrestor, static tube for water level monitoring, and a pump protector to prevent the well from running dry.

We also upsized the junction box to properly house the control box and pump protector, chlorinated the well, and started up and commissioned the whole system.

Another job done right! 💪

Meet our superstar Senior Pump & Water Treatment Specialist: Kevin! 💧

Kevin has been part of the EDS family for 17 years, starting out as a pump and water treatment technician, and now serving our customers from the office, diagnosing water issues and designing systems to improve water quality.

Outside of work, you'll find him camping or drumming with the Veterans Band (he even played a gig in Victoria a few weekends ago!).

If you've had the pleasure of working with Kevin, you know exactly how dedicated, thorough, and committed he is to every project. 🙌

No water coming from your well?

After a long, dry summer (and dry winter in the Fraser Valley), there are a few different reasons you could suddenly find yourself without water.

💧 Your well may be running low: Extended dry weather and increased summer water use can affect your well’s water level and recovery rate.

🔧 Your well pump could be overworking: Pumps work hard all summer, and mechanical or electrical issues can eventually lead to a loss of water.

⚙️ Your pressure system may have failed: Problems with your pressure tank, pressure switch or other components can prevent your system from building or maintaining water pressure.

💧During a routine maintenance visit, our technician discovered the customer's water softener was leaking from the control head. We also found the system hadn't been serviced since 2021, and the softener had stopped drawing salt, meaning it was no longer softening the water effectively.

After walking the client through their options, we recommended replacing the softener unit and control head. Just a few days later, the new system was installed, restoring reliable water treatment and giving them peace of mind.
