Tonight’s shaping up to be a proper night at The Tilt 🎶🦞🍻

We’re staying open straight through the day, with setup for tonight starting around 4PM - so if you’re coming for supper, come hungry and come early. We expect it to be a busy one!

🎶 6PM — Live music with Kirklind & Johnny

Fresh seafood specials will be rolling out all evening, including Seafood Chowder, our Grilled Snow Crab Panini Pressed Wrap, and Lobster Rolls.

🐟 8:30PM — Screech-In

There are still a few spaces left if you’ve been waiting to become an honorary Newfoundlander. Expect a bit of music, Newfoundland foolishness, local food, a cod that’s probably seen better days, and the all-important “Long May Your Big Jib Draw!”

🎤 After 9PM — SING FOR YA SUPPER

Open mic. Karaoke. Discounts for the brave.

3 songs → 40% off + a free drink
4-song set with instruments → Your meal is on us! 👀

There’s no cover for the live music or Sing for Ya Supper ; just come in, grab some food, find a seat and enjoy the night.

Just one more day! ☕️🔧

We’ll be CLOSED tomorrow, Tuesday, August 18th while we finish up the last of our renovation work.

Tomorrow’s big job: getting our new 2-group espresso machine hooked up and ready to go! ☕️☕️ A much-needed upgrade that will help us keep things moving behind the bar and get your coffees into your hands a whole lot faster when things get busy.

We’ve got a few other finishing touches happening around the building too, and rather than try to work around it all, we’re taking one final day to get it done properly.

We know the starts, stops and changing hours that come with renovations aren’t always convenient, and we really appreciate everyone rolling with us while we keep improving the space. ❤️

One little reminder as we head into the rest of the season: from time to time our regular hours may change for private events, special events or other happenings at The Tilt. We do our best to keep our Google hours current and will always post changes and closures here on social media too. 🦞 Okay, we heard you!

Last week we had a few disappointed faces when the lobster was gone and the chowder pot was empty; so this week, we may have slightly overcorrected. 😂

We’ve got lots of lobster prepped and a big batch of our seafood chowder ready to go, and we’d much rather see it on your table than anywhere else.

So for the next two days, while quantities last:

🥣 Seafood Chowder — $15
Regularly $18

🦞 Grilled Lobster Wrap — $20
Regularly $24

Our chowder is loaded with seafood and served with a massive homemade dinner roll that’s baked fresh in house, and that grilled lobster wrap has quickly become one of our favourite additions to the menu.

As a small café, figuring out how much to prep is always a bit of a dance — one week we sell out, the next we make sure that doesn’t happen again. 😅

And with a seafood-filled weekend coming up at The Tilt, we’re already gearing up for plenty more lobster, crab, chowder and other good things from the sea.

The Tilt has grown and changed a lot but one thing has stayed true: the people behind it are what make this place work. ❤️

The early mornings. The busy lunch rushes. The sold-out Saturdays. The prep, the dishes, the coffee, the laughs, the problem-solving and the occasional “okay… how are we going to pull THIS off?” 😅

We work hard, we have fun, we help each other out, and we’re building a team where people are encouraged to learn, contribute ideas and grow with us.

What a weekend. 🥹💙

For the second Saturday in a row, you’ve kept us so busy that we’ve sold out of almost everything and had to close our doors early. We are incredibly grateful - and tonight, we’re busy getting ready to do it all over again tomorrow!

Sunday update: We’ll be opening a little later at 10:30am to give us some extra prep time and make sure the kitchen, coolers and counters are stocked and ready.

First thing tomorrow morning, we’ll have a fresh batch of our seafood chowder on the go, more lobster prepped for sandwiches, plenty of café favourites, baked goodies and lots of ice cream ready for a Sunday treat. 🦞🥣🍦

There’s always something being added, tweaked, tested or perfected around here. We’re still a new business, still learning what works, and still finding our rhythm; and we’re so grateful to everyone who has been riding this wave with us. 🌊

And we’re not slowing down yet. We’ve got some really exciting things coming up over the next few weeks as we get ready to send summer out with a bang. 💥 Stay tuned.

🎶 Another evening of unforgettable Newfoundland music is coming to The Lark Harbour Tilt.

We’re thrilled to welcome Sherry Ryan on Friday, August 28 for an intimate live performance right here on the bay.

Whether you’ve followed her music for years or you’re discovering her for the first time, this is the kind of night that reminds you how special live music can be. Great songs, a cozy atmosphere, delicious food, handcrafted drinks, and a room full of people who appreciate it all.

🎤 Show: 7:30 PM

Our kitchen and bar will be open throughout the evening with full table service available. Food and beverages are not included with admission and may be purchased separately, so come early, settle in, and enjoy supper or a drink before the music begins.
