Its Thursday, so why not look at a throwback?

All across Atlanta Canada, we installed all the new drive-thru menu boards for McDonalds, and Tim Hortons!

Quite the adventure.

Its good to remind that we don't just do residential work, but commercial too!

Client wants a new deck, but was hoping to keep their concrete slab. Sono tube concrete foundation would have required the removal of the slab and because of the rocky conditions would have required some aggressive excavation. This would also have taken several days to complete and would have been quite messy. We were able to drill gently through concrete and continue through the rocky ground to make room for Ground Screws to support their new deck. 10 Ground Screws were required, with most needing to be drilled first. It took us ONE DAY to complete this project.
Chris Mercier hired us, so thanks Chris.
The deck builders were Shugarue Construction. They did a very nice job. I hope the photos show the quality of the build.
Any questions?

Homeowners thought it was odd that there are no steps from backyard to deck. Mind you, they worded it a little differently. 😆

We were hired by Lindsay Construction to provide a foundation/base for a mall sign on Chainlake Dr. We hired Fastrac Machining & Fabrication, located in Enfield NS to come to the site and weld the plates and threaded rods. They were awesome to deal with. Acme Signs in Burnside NS are creating the sign now, so follow up pics will be provided when complete. We had to drill 8 holes, 5 feet deep into solid granite.
Any questions?

Deck replacement project with a sunroom. Deck builder wanted to use Ground Screws because all supports are installed in a few hours, without any digging. As you can see ROCK is not a problem for us.
Our Ground Screws are an engineered product and building can begin immediately.

This was our first time using compressed air to help excavate. Works great, but a bit messy. We have to know what's down there before installing a ground screw. So here's our new air spade. We use the same compressor that we use to drill rock, one line for compressed air wand and one to run the vac, simultaneously. Since we're using compressed air instead of high pressure water, the material stored in the chamber can be put back into the remaining void. Brilliant! I will take and post a video of the air spade in operation soon.
