Day 6 Where Am I?

Kenaz (ᚲ) — torch; knowledge, creativity, illumination

A craftsman worked in darkness for years, shaping metal by feel alone, never satisfied with what his hands couldn't see. One night, a stranger left a single torch at his door — no note, no explanation. He lit it, and for the first time, watched his own work take shape before him. Flaws he'd carved by accident became patterns he could refine by choice. He carved Kenaz above his forge from then on: the fire doesn't do the work for you, it only shows you what you're already capable of.

Day 5, Raidho
"Raidho" The path reveals itself to those who keep moving.

A rider set out for a village three days away, certain of the road. But by nightfall, the path forked in ways his map never showed. He could have turned back, cursed the wrong turn, made camp and waited for morning light to sort it out. Instead, he kept riding, trusting the rhythm of his horse's steps more than the lines on the page. Each fork led to another, until on the third day, tired and dust-covered, he arrived — not at the village he sought, but at one far better, one he never could have planned for. He carved Raidho into his saddle that year: the journey corrects itself, but only for those who don't stop moving.

Day 3- Where Am I?
Thurisaz (ᚦ) — thorn/giant; conflict, defense, a forceful catalyst.

*was posted yesterday on tiktok, but it appears it didn't take to Instagram and Facebook. Sorry for the delay on here...
So it's likely to still be out there to find.

A giant once guarded the border of a village no one else would defend. The villagers feared him — his size, his silence, the thorns that grew wherever he walked. But one winter, raiders came, and the giant rose without being asked, breaking their line before they reached the gate. When morning came, he was gone, but the thorns remained, thick and impassable, circling the village like a wall. The elders carved Thurisaz above the gate: a reminder that some forces look like danger, but exist only to defend.

Day 2 - Where Am I?
First Aett (Freyr's)
Uruz (ᚢ) — wild ox; raw strength, vitality

A young warrior tried to lead an ox to market, but it broke free and ran wild through the fields, trampling fences. The villagers cursed the beast. But an old woman only laughed. 'You cannot own that kind of strength,' she said. 'You can only earn its respect.' The warrior returned each dawn, not with rope, but with patience — until the ox walked beside him on its own. They carved Uruz into his shield that year: power that cannot be forced, only met.

Sept 18th - Day 1

First Aett (Freyr's)
Fehu (ᚠ) — cattle/wealth; earned abundance, prosperity.

A farmer once lost his last cow in a storm. Villagers said he was ruined. But he walked the fields anyway, day after day, calling her name. On the ninth day, he found her — not alone, but with a calf at her side. His herd had grown from the very loss that broke him. The elders carved Fehu onto his gate that winter: a reminder that wealth doesn't return to those who wait, only to those who keep walking the field.
