Look at this beautiful East Kootenay crew that attended the Lethbridge Handmade Market yesterday Saturday October 18th 😍!

Just down the way was (Instagram) with her gorgeous jewelry.

It was a wonderful day. I enjoyed being next to the kidpreneurs - talk about talent!! Love seeing them vending and running their businesses! And the market was so well set up and run, with fantastic local musicians!

I had some lovely conversations with people and was inspired by their own creative pursuits, their thoughts and perspectives, and time they took to share with me. I also appreciate your support ❤️

Thank you Lethbridge!!

Reusable sandwich and snack bags that simply fold to close. I really like this design, and find these bags so easy to use and wash. I simply dab a bit of dish soap on the inside and fill with a little warm water to wash at the sink. After rinsing, I prop open on the counter, over my butcher block, or hang or prop outside, weather permitting!

The fabric is laminated cotton, which is an eco-friendly, food safe material. It has a water based polyurethane coating that is waterproof, lightweight, durable and heat resistant, and it contains no PVC, BPA or lead phthalate. This protective layer is rolled out in the factory and heat-set to the cotton.
This fabric is soft on the plain underside and waterproof on the printed side, and is machine washable or easily hand washed or wiped clean.

I have two different prints, one dark blue with whales 💙and the other a mid blue print.

Do you want to use less paper towel? Consider unpaper towels! Have you heard of them before? They are cloth wipes for every day use in the kitchen, bathroom, diaper bag, dinner table, or wherever they need to be! Roll them up like paper towel, stack them, or stow them in a drawer or your purse! So handy, and the brushed cotton with cotton thread means no polyester, no plastic!

Are you using cloth wipes already in your life? They can be made from what you have on hand. A towel with a bleach stain - cut it up and repurpose! Or a tshirt that’s faded or outgrown - consider using it in a different way before throwing “away”!

And if you choose to try out unpaper towels, there are two sizes to choose from in a variety of prints 🌈

See you at on Saturday or at an upcoming market in Kimberley (Nov 15 at Centre 64) or at the Cranbrook Winter Market Nov 29 and 30 💚

Summertime!! I hope you are soaking in some of the absolute wonderful that summer is, wherever you may be!
I will be at the Invermere Farmers Market on Saturday August 2nd, and hopefully Fernie on Sunday August 3rd! I’m also planning for one Saturday in Cranbrook, and will share when confirmed!
Wishing you all time doing something you love, maybe with those you love, restoring, recharging, looking at the stars, and just being you!
Also have you heard of plastic free July? It’s a growing movement through which we can reflect on our plastic use, and say - I can do without this! This is something that I want to change! And I am going to share this with a friend, a spouse, show my kids, and feel good about my actions! xo

My mom… I am very proud and feel very lucky to be her daughter. She is very organized but so creative and fun! She’s loving and very generous, but (and?) good at teasing! And so so much more. Mom has also been my biggest supporter in what a bag! and has helped in many ways, including making beautiful cotton and wool slouch bags, h**p cloths and bath mitts, and pot holders! I don’t know how she does it - but she does so with love and a smile! THANKS MOM!
Here she is with my son, a few years ago! During her career, mom taught nursing and is an educator at heart.
Wishing you all a wonderful day ❤️

Zipper bags! They are lined and have a box bottom so they’ll stand up. They are a mix of new cute fabric I couldn’t resist, denim recovered from jeans, and new fabrics sourced from our local thrift stores!

Bunny bags to fill with special treats for Easter morning! They can be reused each year, or perhaps throughout the year too (if you tie the ears they are kind of like a bento bag!)
They range in size from 10 to 15 inches high and come with a ribbon to close the bag - so no peeking permitted!
I will have them with me tomorrow at Kinsmen Arena in Cranbrook for the Cranbrook Farmers Market!

Reusing what you have - plastic bags can be reused, although it’s not recommended after they’ve been used for meat. If you can’t avoid buying items without plastic, or choose not to, you can always extend the bag’s life before recycling or disposing of it!
