Hydro-Québec has announced a planned power outage in Quebec City from Sunday, September 20 at 5:30 p.m. until Monday, September 21 at 6:30 a.m. Our emergency response teams are fully mobilized, and we are deploying backup generators to help maintain our network and services throughout the outage. We encourage customers in the affected areas to charge their devices before the outage begins.

An issue with the next-generation 9-1-1 network was detected this morning at approx. 3:13 a.m. ET. Backup systems were brought online to route calls to emergency services while technicians investigated the outage. 9-1-1 service is now fully restored and people with an emergency can call 9-1-1. We are investigating the root cause of the issue and will have further details once available.
