✨️Update✨️

It's been so long since I've posted! I have been so busy over the past year. I graduated university in June 2025 and have been working hard ever since. Less time for beadwork, but more time to do cute customs for friends!

I made this cute custom keychain for one of my best friend's birthdays! The amethyst of course was not made by me, but the little beaded 'M' and the flower were part of my contribution.

Hoping to have more time for beadwork and for posting again, I have sorely missed it 🥲

✨️Updates and Grattitude✨️

Yesterday, I attended the Rock, Paper, Scissors event at the Art Gallery of Guelph with the . I am currently in university and a contributing editor for the Embassy Cultural House as part of my internship credit for this year. Founders Ron Benner and Jamelie Hassan have been integral in my learning to be an art curator and developing my skills in ways that will help my future practice.

However, I still want to continue doing beadwork, and as artists themselves, they have both been supportive and encouraging in my endeavors to promote my beadwork. Ron and Jamelie generously offered me a spot at the Embassy Cultural House table to sell my work, and I sold 4 out of 6 pairs I brought to the event! I am so grateful to have opportunities to sell in person and hope to do my own booths someday.

The Embassy Cultural House is a not-for-profit collective that has been supportive of Indigenous artists and scholars locally and internationally. Not only collaborating with Indigenous artists and curators, but also including Indigenous artwork within the ECH archives, throughout their publications, and in their exhibitions.

Not For Sale✨️

I made a custom pair of earrings for one of my cousins a few weeks ago and mailed this set last week! These monochrome black earrings were a fun project for me; I got to choose any beads I wanted as long as they were black. I decided that texture would play a big part here, considering the beads would all be the same colour, and they turned out beautifully!

I feel like black is under-utilized in my work, but this year, I've worked with black beads a handful of times, and I seriously need to do more 😍.

I made a sleeping giant pin for my Stepdad and a pair of turtle cab earrings for my mom for their birthdays (all our birthdays are in October!). They came for a visit last weekend and it was so nice to see them ❤️.

New Collection✨️

If you've been keeping up with my page, you'll know I've been occupied with school. I planned to launch my October collection today, but this week was the busiest I've had so far, so I'm almost done but not ready to release everything yet! The first photo includes the earrings I have finished and will be available to purchase today. The second photo is a sneak peek of some of the pink earrings I will have ready for tomorrow. I know some people are keeping an eye out for this collection, don't worry! The pink earrings are coming 👀.
