This 2021 Yamaha rolled into CarPhonix ready for a serious marine audio upgrade — and this system turned out killer.

We loaded it up with KICKER Marine RGBW speakers throughout the boat. They don’t just sound incredible — with the RGBW lighting firing through the speakers, they completely transform the boat once the sun starts going down.

Power comes from matching KICKER Marine amplifiers, with a 12” KICKER Marine subwoofer bringing the low end. Clean, powerful and built specifically to handle life on the water.

At the helm, we installed a JL Audio MediaMaster Marine source unit, giving the system independent zone control so different areas of the boat can be adjusted exactly how you want them.

Most people know him as the shop dog.

But to us—and to so many of our customers—he’s become so much more.

⚠️ Every once in a while, a job comes through our doors that reminds us why quality matters.

This GMC came to us after a previous “high-end” audio installation had gone terribly wrong.

We’re not here to name names or tear down another business. That’s not who we are.

But when an installation results in destroyed equipment, failed components, improper wiring, and thousands of dollars in unnecessary losses, it’s frustrating—not only for the customer, but for those of us who take pride in this industry.

The pile of wire you see? That’s what we removed.

The JL Audio boxes? They now hold the customer’s blown subwoofers from the previous install.

Unfortunately, despite the circumstances, the customer wasn’t able to get even the amplifier warrantied.

So… we did what we do best.

This stunning Hydro Blue Ram deserved an audio system to match its appearance, so we built something special.

Featuring a completely custom CarPhonix-designed under-seat enclosure loaded with Audison Prima subwoofers, powered by the Audison SR 1.500 amplifier, this truck now delivers the low-end authority every pickup should have.

For the rest of the system, we stepped things up with Audison Prima speakers throughout the cabin, driven by the powerful Audison SR 6.600 amplifier for incredible clarity, detail, and output.

As always, every connection was built properly using custom plug-and-play adapters, soldered and heat-shrunk for maximum reliability and serviceability. No cut factory wiring. No shortcuts.

This beautiful Chevrolet C10 came into CarPhonix for what started as an audio upgrade, but quickly turned into something much bigger.

Like many classic trucks that have been modified over the years, it had seen countless hands under the hood and behind the dash. Wiring had been added, removed, spliced, bypassed, and modified over decades. Nothing was truly organized, and reliability was becoming a concern.

So we did what we do best.

Some vehicles are more than just transportation.

This 1970 Chevrolet C10 has been with its owner since high school — and when you’ve owned a truck that long, you don’t cut corners on how it’s built.

Over the years, wiring had been added, modified, rerouted, and patched together piece by piece. Instead of simply hiding the mess, we tore into the truck and rebuilt the integration properly from the ground up.

This 1986 Chevrolet Silverado is one of those builds that stops people in their tracks the second it rolls into the shop. And unfortunately for me…this dream truck belongs to the customer! 😂

This classic squarebody got the full CarPhonix treatment while keeping the timeless factory vibe intact. We installed a RetroSound radio for that perfect OEM+ look, paired with Audison APX6.5 door speakers, APX2 dash speakers, and dual Audison APBX 10” woofers powered by the incredible Audison SR5.600 amplifier.

To make this truck sound as good as it looks, we also treated it with SoundShield sound deadening to help eliminate rattles, road noise, and vibrations. The result is a cleaner, tighter, more refined listening experience that completely transforms the cabin.

We also added a Code Alarm keyless entry system for that clean OE-style feel when approaching the truck. No more fumbling around with keys — just hit the button and climb into a classic that now feels modern in all the right ways.

Under the hood, we took the tired old factory wiring and completely cleaned it up and modernized it. Attention to detail matters on builds like this, and updating the wiring really added the icing on the cake. Clean, reliable, and professionally integrated — exactly how it should be.

The real centerpiece though? This absolutely beautiful custom enclosure built by our friends over at A.I.C AudioCraft. Wrapped in matching blue and black carpet to blend seamlessly with the interior, it looks like it could have rolled off the assembly line this way. The custom door pods sound unreal, and the entire system delivers clean, powerful sound without taking away from the truck’s classic character.

This is exactly what we love doing at CarPhonix — modern performance hidden inside timeless vehicles while keeping everything looking period correct, clean, and professionally integrated.
