Today Mike AJ Guindon 's wait is over. He has been wanting a multi spool for the 3d printer which will allow him to print in 4 colours at a time. It came in on Friday but he held off until today to get it assembled and tested.

I want to address a question I get asked a lot: "Why do you work part-time instead of being at the store full-time?"
The answer is simple. I don't work part-time because I want to. I work part-time because I have to.
That extra income helps pay the expenses it takes to keep the doors open. Rent, utilities, insurance, advertising, supplies, website costs, payment processing fees... they all add up. The reality is that owning a small business doesn't always mean it pays the bills.
I constantly hear, "You should be open more." But at the same time, I'm here pleading for people to come in and support the incredible artisans who have trusted us with their businesses.
People said, "You're never open Sundays." So I found two amazing artisans willing to volunteer their time to open the store on Sundays... and many Sundays it's crickets.
Then I heard, "You need a website. We'd shop online." I invested hundreds and hundreds of dollars building one. Now I hear, "Oh, I don't shop online."
"Paint the building. It's not bright enough." I'd love to—but it's not my building.
"Advertise more." I do advertise, but advertising isn't free. Call the local radio station and ask what it costs. Digital ads, print ads, signage, events... none of it is cheap, and there are no guarantees it brings customers through the door.

I'm not sharing this for sympathy. I'm sharing it because I think many people don't realize what it actually takes to keep a small business alive.
Every purchase, every share, every comment, every recommendation matters more than you know. If you truly want to see local businesses survive, supporting them—even with a small purchase or by spreading the word—makes a bigger difference than any suggestion ever could.
I'm going to keep fighting for this store and for the amazing artisans who call it home. I just hope our community continues to fight for us too.
