This year has been full of pushes. Pushing to the next level, doing things I didn’t think I was capable of, and accomplishing things I never imagined I would. ✨

Feeling extra grateful this month because even the lows weren’t as low as last year. The mistakes I made? I learned from them, overcame them, and did things even better this time around.

The boundaries I once thought I didn’t need? Turns out, they brought me peace. I stopped feeling like I had to explain myself, stayed in my own lane, and focused on what I’m building.

The digs and not-so-subtle criticism meant to throw me off balance? They still happen, but they don’t carry the same weight anymore.

Because I have my supporters, my game plan, an incredible team, and a community that continues to surprise me in the best ways.

I’m not saying I have it all figured out. I’m saying I’ve grown, I’ve learned, and I’m a lot more confident in the person I’m becoming and the business I’m building. And honestly? That feels pretty damn good. 💗

POV living in a would you created for yourself- You love people, but some days you wish your headphones came with noise cancellation for conversations too. 😵‍💫😂 Or maybe you just need a glass of w**e with lunch… 🍷

I LOVE meeting new customers, hearing your feedback, and seeing our regulars come back week after week. Truly, you make this business what it is. 🩷

But then there are the days when you hear things like…

🛍️ “I love this!” *Takes a photo and explains how she’ll get her friend to copy it.* Great! Glad we’re inspiring… 🥲

👀 *Walks by, gives the store a full stink face, then makes direct eye contact to ensure the message was received.*

✈️ “I know you’re a new business, but will you sponsor my child’s trip to Paris?” Can I come too? 😂

📞 Calls to ask if we’re hiring. Hangs up when told we’re fully staffed. Calls back to negotiate a job that hasn’t even been offered. 💀

🤔 “Did you make this?” It’s a collaboration with a local maker. “Well, what DO you make in here?” …the vibes, apparently.

🐦 Someone casually tells me a story about coming to London and seeing someone EATING A PIGEON. Ma’am, I was just trying to sell a sweater. 😭💀

📖 Asks me a question, I start answering, and she proceeds to ignore me completely and read the ingredients on the packaging out loud instead. Okay, girl, I’ll just stand here and provide the background vocals. 🫠

🧥 “This looks just like my jacket.” Oh, nice! Ours is designed in Montreal, and we only have THREE in store. 🫶

🙈 And my personal favourite: people having full conversations about my business OUTSIDE my store while staring straight through the window, completely unaware that I can hear every word. Ma’am, this is not a soundproof aquarium. 😂

Retail is equal parts incredible people, unexpected conversations, and smiling through things you absolutely cannot make up.

So if you see me virtually selling a new arrival with a smile on my face, just know there’s a 50/50 chance I’m mentally wearing headphones. 🎧🤣

Retail workers deserve a little extra love. We hear EVERYTHING. 🩷
