And that's a wrap!!! Lougheed Greenhouse is cleaned up and closed for the season, so it's time to express our gratitude.

Our volunteers, we couldn't run without you, you are such a vital necessity to the greenhouse, sincere thank you!

Our customers, you are so appreciated! As you know, funds are donated to the local museum and we are happy to report we had a successful season. You are helping them carry on with repairs and to keep our history alive for future generations. Thank you, each and everyone of you!

Sorry for the delay in posting our Unhinged basket winner but only in our friendly village could this happen!

The winning ticket was drawn (lucky lady) but we couldn't figure out who she was. No phone number. Until, someone recognized her signature! So, drum roll please - Kim MARTIN congratulations! We will get your basket delivered to you .

Good morning everyone! It's ALL 4 CELL & BASKET STUFFERS BOGO starting today! We have petunias, marigolds, cosmos, dusty miller, dracaena, vines, bidens and more. Hummingbirds love petunias and marigolds help deter cabbage moths. Currently, there is lots of 4 cell petunias and marigolds. Open from 11:00 to 7:00

Join us on Thursday at 4:30 ish to plant a pot! We will have a limited selection of 10 or 12 inch previously loved pots available but bring your own pot, if desired. Soil to fill pot will be available for purchase, or bring your pot prefilled. Cost will be the cost of your flowers plus soil & fertilizer used. Flowers cost can be as low as $6.00. If possible, preregister so we can plan working space accordingly. All ages welcome, kids can plant too! Under 8, please bring an adult with you. See you at the Lougheed Greenhouse!

Who has or wants a cutting flower garden or aka a cut and come again garden? We currently have a few varieties of flowers in 4 cell packs that would fit right in. Zinnias, Rocket snapdragons, marigolds, cosmos, calendula and some salvias are all great cut flowers and should keep producing lots of blooms after being cut. Why not enjoy fresh bouquets from your own garden!

EDIT - Just added to our BOGO, FLOWERING KALE! I have been asked a few times if it's edible and yes, it is. BUT it's tougher, bitter and stronger tasting than other kale, so why would you? Having said that - a cooking/eating suggestions picture has added. Think colorful fall deck pots!

We appreciate all our volunteers all the time but extra appreciation goes to the ones working during this cool weather!

Our poor little wax begonias are struggling with the greenhouse temperature. So we have a BOGO on them as well as our 4 cell pks of impatients. Picture of wax begonias from last year, compliments of Sylvia.
