The winds are blowin and the rain is still coming down but fear not friends we’re still opening tomorrow. Save yourself the drive to Sydney and come get some supplies for the week at the market :) we have food vendors, crafts people, body care products and so much more!

Meet the Vendor: Samar's Kitchen

That delicious smell wafting you into the building each market day is thanks to our friends at Samar's Kitchen. Delicious Lebanese cuisine, including fatayers, baklava, Grape leaves, Kibbeh, Chicken and rice and more!

Samar is a proud immigrant to Canada with deep roots in Lebanon, bringing a rich culinary tradition to Cape Breton! Lebanese families began settling in Sydney, Glace Bay, New Waterford, and North Sydney as early as the 1880s, building a strong community rooted in family, faith, and entrepreneurship.

Now, Samar is continuing that legacy—sharing the vibrant flavours of Lebanese cuisine with us! Join us this Sunday at the Louisbourg Market and leave happy!

Liz is one of our longest standing vendors, and we couldn't love her more. Her beautiful paper craft pieces are always a wonder to behold. From greeting cards and journals, to busy books and gift boxes. She makes everything by hand and no two are the same.
