🌱 Growing Tip: Helping your veggies through the heat! ☀️

Hot summer days can be stressful for vegetable gardens, but a little extra care can keep your plants producing.

💧 Water deeply and consistently — aim for the soil, not just the leaves, and check your garden more often during hot weather. 👍 Always follow your area’s water restrictions and choose the best watering times allowed.

🌿 Mulch helps! A layer of mulch around your plants helps keep roots cooler and holds moisture in the soil.

🌤️ Give plants a break from the hottest sun — shade cloth or temporary afternoon shade can help protect heat-sensitive crops.

🍅 Keep harvesting! Picking ripe vegetables encourages many plants to keep producing.

🌱 Fertilize wisely — avoid feeding plants that are wilted or heat-stressed. Water first, then fertilize once plants have recovered and are actively growing.

A little extra attention during the heat can make a big difference in your harvest! 💚

🌿 Keeping your baskets beautiful through the heat and smoke 🌿

Hot, smoky summer days can be tough on hanging baskets. With a little extra care, you can keep them thriving!

💧 Did you know a 13-inch basket needs about 3 litres of water to stay hydrated? In this heat, baskets may need water twice a day.

🌱 Keep your baskets fed — fertilize every 3 days at full rate to support healthy growth and blooms.

🌸 No need to remove blooms from our baskets — as long as they stay watered, flowers will naturally fade and fall away.

🚿 Did you know that if a basket dries out, water may run right through instead of soaking in? Water thoroughly, then water again 15 minutes later to help rehydrate the soil.

☀️ Try not to let baskets wilt — when they dry out, spent blooms can stay attached to the plant instead of dropping naturally.

💚 A light trim and some fresh attention can help your blooms bounce back.

From fresh-cut bouquets and flower subscriptions to their charming Flower Truck, Curly Willows celebrates the beauty of locally grown flowers in so many creative ways.
