I am not usually that girl, the one that rushes Christmas, but...

Christmas is at SBF—and it comes by the jar.

Our fan favourite Christmas Jam brings together cranberries, strawberries, oranges and warming winter spices. It’s a little taste of the season, ready for toast, a cheese board or a thoughtful gift.

Saturday’s forecast: a trip to Inverary and at least one jar you didn’t know you needed.

The first time I heard “Lyndhurst Turkey Fair,” I pictured a cute little small-town fair with a few vendors and maybe a turkey or two.

Boy, did I underestimate Turkey Fair.

Thousands of people descend on our little village for one day — vendors, food, live music, vintage cars, kids, neighbours, visitors and a whole lot of small-town fun.
And there’s actually some history behind the name. Years ago, farmers really did bring their poultry into Lyndhurst to sell and trade. The turkey trading may be long gone, but the tradition of everyone gathering in the village certainly isn’t.

Stone Bridge Farm will be there on home turf this Saturday, jars stacked and samples ready.

Come for Turkey Fair. Stay for the jam.

And if you really want to see a turkey… you’ll probably have better luck checking one of the farmers’ fields on your way in.

Spending too much time alone in the kitchen be like…

I wrote a love poem for Raspberry Balsamic Jam.

Raspberries are red,
Balsamic is brown,
Our Raspberry Balsamic Jam
Is the best jam in town.

I’ll see myself out.

Clearly I need to get out of the kitchen more.

Divide and conquer this weekend!

Stone Bridge Farm is splitting up and heading in two directions.

SATURDAY David is heading to the Verona Lions Garlic Festival from 9–2.
Garlic, local vendors and David surrounded by food — he should be just fine.

I’ll be heading west to beautiful Maberly for the Sundance Artisan Show, 10–4 Saturday AND Sunday.

Sundance is a gorgeous outdoor show along the riverbank, filled with artists, makers and all kinds of things you didn't know you needed until you got there.

Of course, wherever you find Stone Bridge Farm, there will be plenty of sweet, saucy and spicy, samples to try, and jars to take home.

So pick your direction — or make a weekend of it and visit us both.
